Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

Hi everyone!!

It's Flutterby Wednesday again and our challenge this week was to use red, white and blue along with a fairy or butterfly. It was really hard for me to picture fairies or butterflies with red, white and blue, but I managed to pull it off!! Our featured stamper this week is Nancy. You should play along with us and be sure that if you upload to PCP or SCS that you use FBW in your keywords so we can see your beautiful creations.

You can go to Danni's blog for more in-depth details. For my card today I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 84. I used Enchanted Lily from Pink Cat Studios. I love this image!! She's so cute and cheerful!! I used Paper Loft paper and Bazzill cardstock. I cut my sentiment out with my nesties. I inked the edge with red ink for definition and tied ribbon through the top. I popped it up with pop dots for dimension.

I stamped Lily with Memento ink and colored her with my copics. I used a white gel pen to add highlights. I painted her wings with Shimmerz. You can find Memento ink, copics, Shimmerz and white gel pen at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. She has a fabulous selection of stamping accessories and her rubber stamps are adorable. You should visit her and see what you can find. There's something for everyone.

Sorry about the short post but my pain meds are wearing off and I need to go sit comforably. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I really appreciate you. Be sure to leave me a comment so I know you were here!! Hugs to you all and have a great day!

Sneak Peak Saturday!!

Hello Friends!

Today I have a sneak peek for you from InStyle Stamps!! I'm so excited!! I would like to introduce you to Hiroki. I love this little cutie!! Look at the sweetness in his face! I just want to pinch his cheeks!! How versatile is this little guy? I can think of so many sentiments that would go with him.

I know you recognize this paper!! It was laying on my table (from a couple of days ago) when I was deciding what to do with Hiroki and it just seemed to fit! Bo Bunny is just the best! I colored Hiroki with my copics and cut him out with my circle nesties. I rounded the corners of the patterned paper and the card inself. I wanted to keep the design to a minimum so you could really capture the sweetness of this image.

I hope you like it! He will be available on Wednesday. Don't forget that InStyle is having a huge sale until April 30th!! Be sure to use the code: ISSA20009 and put Cathy in the comment box so I can get you that 20% off your entire order (excludes Copics). We have released some really great stamps so go check 'em out!! There is something for everyone, even digis! So what are you waiting for??

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! I really appreciate you!! Have a great rest of the weekend and I'll see you soon!

4. After you vote, you will need to leave a comment on the ISS blog post with the poll on it in order to be entered to win the grand prize. The polling system we use doesn't keep track of who is voting, so if you don't post a comment, you won't be in the drawing.

5. The contest will remain open until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, April 25th, and the winners will be announced on Sunday, April 26th.

For my project, i decided not to make a container but I kept looking at this adorable bag and decided that it would be perfect for Sheree!! Everybody needs a little pampering now and then!! I like to make up little gifts like this and place them in our guest bathroom when we have company coming. I think it just makes people feel welcome and gives them some goodies too!!!

I colored Sheree with my copics and added stickles to her bubbles and the little flowers that I put on her bathtub. I attached her to the front of my bag with glue dots. I put some little giftie toiletries in the bag and voila, a cute little gift container!!! It's fun to alter things that you already have around the house (recycling is good). I hope you like my project. If you do, I NEED YOUR VOTE!!! I would love to win the prize for this month and you will be rewarded by getting a chance to win a prize yourself, just for voting!! Now for my card. This is just a simple birthday card using Jax and some yummy Bo Bunny birthday paper and ribbon. I colored Jax with my copics. I stamped my Hero Arts sentiment onto white cardstock, cut into a tag, put an eyelet through and ran the ribbon through the eyelet. I inked the edges of the tag with red chalk ink. I used dew drops to give a little extra bling and popped him up on pop dots. I hope you like it!!

WOW!!

HI everyone! I'm here, sort of. I'm so loaded with antibiotics, steroids and pain meds that I may glow in the dark before I'm done!!

Thank you so, so much for the well wishes!! I am so thankful for you all for sending me hugs from afar. My sinus infection seems to be some sort of mutant thing that won't die!! I also have asthma and chronic back pain that has decided to rear it's ugly head at the same time, so I have been a miserable camper for the past week and half. I'm still sitting here now with an ice pack on my back, my pain meds, tissues and my jammies. It's not pretty.

Ok, I'll stop whining. I just wanted to thank you for the well wishes. I'm trying to get back into my routine, but it's a slow process. I have some serious comments to leave for everyone. I'm so behind! Don't think I've forgotten you. I'll be visiting very soon.

Hugs to you all! See you soon!

Please come back later in the week. I hopefully will have some mojo by then and something cute to show you. Have a wonderful few days and I'll see you soon. Thanks so much for visiting my blog. It means so much to me that you stop by and visit. I will catch up with your blogs in the next few days and leave you some love!! I haven't forgotten about you, I promise!! See you soon! Hugs, Cathy

My Very First Sneak Peek

Happy Easter everyone!!

Today I have my very first sneak peek for InStyle Stamps!! I'm so excited!! I would like to introduce you to Tiffany. I love this little cutie!! How versatile is she?? I can think of so many sentiments that would go with her.

For my card I used Bo Bunny paper (love this stuff). I colored my image with my Copics and used some stickles on her pom-poms, her waistline and her hair tie. IRL they are super sparkly!! I also colored the end of the pom poms pink and the rest blue to give it some dimension. I also inked around her panel with blue chalk ink to make her pop. I love how this turned out!! I used my nesties to cut her out and some Bo Bunny ribbon to tie it all up. I popped her up with pop dots. I also rounded the corners of my card and paper and added some pretty blue dew drops for a little added bling!!

I hope you like my card and that you'll check back with me tomorrow to see what else I have for you. Tiffany will be available on Wednesday of this week so be sure you go to the InStyle Stamps website to pick her up!! Have a great rest of the day!

It's an InSyle Saturday!

Happy Saturday everyone!! Are you ready for Easter, 'cause the Easter Bunny comes tonight!! Maybe he'll leave some stamping goodies for us?? Ok, a girl can dream can't she?? I really hope he brings us a cure for the stomach virus that my daughter has. I'm running on no sleep for a couple of days now. It's not pretty!!!

What is pretty though is that I have a cute card that I made using InStyle Stamps Anime image Lizzie. Isn't she the cutest? I left the sentiment off the front of the card but you could use her for birthdays, get well, congrats, thinking of you, thanks, you get the picture! She's perfect for any occasion.

I used some super yummy paper from Daisy Bucket, with Bazzill cardstock. I cut Lizzie out with my new Spellbinders Nestie that I got at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. She has an amazing selection of all the new stuff, so go take a look!! I colored Lizzie with my copics and used my Inkssentials white gel pen, also from Susana's, for some subtle highlights. I used ribbon and Hero Arts flowers that I dyed to match my image and some sparkle brads.

A simple card design that lets my image take center stage. I love that!! For the inside, I simply cut some of my DP and used it at the top and bottom of the insert. I hope you enjoy my card. I'm glad you stopped by to visit and be sure and come back again tomorrow if you can.

I'll have MY VERY FIRST sneak peek of a new release stamp from InStyle Stamps!!! You won't want to miss it!! Happy Easter and have a wonderful evening!

Flutterby Wednesday

Happy Wednesday to you!! I hope your week is going well. I'm glad you stopped by because it's Flutterby Wednesday!! It is also a no challenge FBW so we were free to create anyway we like!!

This week our guest designer is the super talented Lynn Put from The Queen's Scene . Welcome Lynn!! I also have exciting news to share!! This is the first week you can use fairies or butterflies for our challenges!! Yay!! Our featured team member this week is also a super talented lady, Cassie!!

I chose to use the SCS sketch from last week, SC222. I love this sketch because it is simple and let's your image take center stage. It was perfect for this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp, Maggie with Flowers. How cute is she? I added a couple of butterflies from Penny Black and Our Craft Lounge so she would qualify for the challenge.

I used Imaginesce paper and Bazzill cardstock. I cut the patterned paper and machine stitched it to the card front. I stamped Maggie onto white cardstock with Memento ink. I colored her with my copics and popped her off the card with pop dots. I used a white Inkssentials gel pen for highlights. I added Dew Drops in the four corners for a little something extra. You can find the white gel pen and some great Copic bundles at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design along with a huge selection of other stamping supplies.

We would love for you to play along with us. If you upload to PCP or SCS be sure to use FBW in your keyword box so we can find your lovely creation.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Be sure that you stop by the other Flutterby girls' blogs and look at their creations for the week. You can find their links on my sidebar.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Good Morning!! I want to thank you all for the kind words and support as I heal my poor eyes from their terrible dryness!! Wow, they really hurt when they are that dry. I can't believe I have tiny little cuts on them. Eww!! So be sure to use artificial tears if you're eyes are dry! Ok, that's my public safety announcement for today!!

It's Monday, and that means that it's time to share another Christmas card!! At Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, we create Christmas cards every Monday. By the time November rolls around, we'll have a whole bunch of Christmas cards ready to send out!! That spells out a lot of stress relief for me! Our fabulous leader, Maria has created another super sketch for us to use. This will be sketch #11. This is a great sketch.

I flipped the sketch to fit my stamped image. I used a Stampendous stamp for my image. I stamped it with Memento ink and colored it in with my Copics. Did you know that Susana's Custom Art & Card Design carries Memento ink and Copic bundles? Be sure to check it out. I used Die Cuts with a View paper and Bazzill cardstock. I used Colorbox ink to ink around my main image. I used my circle nestie to cut out the scalloped circle that I tied my ribbon through. Susana's also has a huge selection of Spellbinder Nestabilities dies. I discovered a huge selection of them while I was looking for some other supplies. Of course I had to place an order!!! I couldn't just pretend they weren't there!!

This is the funky no flash view that shows where I painted my image with Shimmerz. IRL the Shimmerz looks great. You can also load up on Shimmerz at Susana's in lots of different colors.

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. Be sure to come by tomorrow to see what fabulous creation I have for you. See you tomorrow!

Some information for you

Hello friends,

I just wanted to let you know that I am a little behind on my blog hopping, but never fear I'll be around soon. I went to the eye doctor today and I found out that I have tiny cuts on the surface of my eyes. (I know, kinda weird and gross.) He says that this is caused by dry eye and he is limiting my computer usage for a few days because apparently, being on a computer a lot, can dry your eyes. I also have allergies and that dries them as well.

My blog post will be a little later tomorrow (Friday). But please be sure to come by sometime later tomorrow if you get the chance. I appreciate you all so much for taking time to visit my blog and I enjoy giving you lots of eye candy to look at!! See you soon!!

Hugs, Cathy

Cathrine Visits the Islands

Happy Thursday!!
The card I have today is the card I made for the sketch challenge over at Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design. This was a fun challenge with a tropical twist. Susana has the most awesome store on the planet. You should visit if you haven't already been there.

I decided to use the lovely Cathrine with Butterfly stamp from the Anki's Sweethearts line from Susana's. I replaced the butterfly she was holding with a colorful parrot by Jolee's. I also added a flower to her hat.

I also added some flowers, ribbon, brads and spacers and it turned into this cute card!! I cut Cathrine out with my nesties of course. How did we live before these were invented??? I colored her with my Copics and added highlights with my white gel pen. How did we live before Copics were invented??? Hmmmmm, I don't know!! LOL!

I hope you like my colorful card and I thank each of you for stopping by my blog today. I feel blessed to have you come by. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I've made for you to see! I'll see you then!

April Fool's Hits Flutterby Wednesday!!!

Happy Wednesday and April Fool's Day to you!!

I hope your Wednesday is going well so far. Today is April Fool's Day but it is also Flutterby Wednesday!! Today's challenge was to use no designer paper, patterned paper whatever you want to call it!!! ack!!! I have to tell you that when I read this challenge, I was horrified. I am a patterned paper freak!!! I have quite the collection and not being able to use it was just....un-American!!!

But after thinking (quite a bit) about it, I think I found a solution that worked pretty well for me. I didn't use any DP on my paper but I used the cutout cardstock from KI Memories and my cardstock is Bazzill. I think it turned out pretty cute!!

Ann is our featured stamper this week and over on Danni's blog you can get all the information you need about Flutterby Wednesday. We also need to welcome the very talented Nancy to our team this week. I also have exciting news for next week!! Starting next week, you can use butterflies or fairies on your FBW cards!!! Yay!! If you upload to PCP or SCS be sure to use FBW in your keyword box so we can find your lovely creation. You should play this week and try your hand at creating without DP. It's not as hard as it sounds, I promise! Just be sure you have a butterfly on your card and you're good to go!

I used my new Victoria Case stamp called Beema. Is this just the sweetest bunny ever with the little butterflies on her nose and fluttering around. I thought she was adorable and had to have her in my collection. I love her!!

I stamped her on white cardstock and colored her with my Copics. I stamped the Hello sentiment from Inkadinkado and mounted it on cardstock with two pretty hydrangeas. I used foam dots under the image and the sentiment to pop them up off the card.

After doing this challenge, it was actually kind of fun to step outside my comfort zone and create without DP. Thank you so much for coming by today and looking at my blog. I appreciate you!! Be sure to leave a comment so I know you were here. Also be sure to visit the other Flutterby team members (in my sidebar) and give them some love for their beautiful creations, as well! Have a wonderful rest of your day!
