Let's Go To The Hop!!!

Happy Friday my friends!!
This warm weather has inspired a beach themed Blog Hop at InStyle Stamps!! I was lucky enough to be able to use the adorable new mermaid, Ariel (available today in the InStyle Store) for my projects!! Isn't she a cutie??
Here are the details that you need to know (Vote for me!! LOL)

To enter, hop through the design team’s blogs (you can find them in my sidebar), and then go to the InStyle Stamps blog and vote for the designer who's project inspired you the most. (You're voting for me, right? LOL!) Make sure to leave a comment in addition to voting in order to be entered into the drawing for the grand prize.

You have until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, May 30th to enter, and the winners will be announced on the InStyle Stamps blog on Monday, June 1st.

I used the adorable new mermaid, Ariel (available today in the InStyle Store) to make a cute little giftset perfect for anyone needing a little pick me up!! (I could use that!!)

For my little notebook, I colored Ariel with my copics and used Shimmerz and Stickles on her for sparkle as well. I tied ribbon onto the spiral rings. I typed Notes onto cardstock and cut it out with my nesties.
For my card, I hand drew a seashell and decorated it with some super cute Doodlebug papers and some pretty ribbon and Prima flowers. I colored Ariel with my copics and used Shimmerz and Stickles for some sparkle. I used a really cute embellishment by Mark Richards for my water under my mermaid. Those gemstones are awesome, don't you think??

Remember, I need your vote!! Ok, I've begged for votes long enough!!lol My daughter Brittany was kind enough to loan me her Build a Bear beach towel and ball for my photos. Thank you for stopping by my blog!! Be sure you leave a comment so I know you were here!! I love reading your thoughts about my projects. Have a wonderful Friday!! Now, get hopping!!

Are You All A-flutter??

Happy Wednesday Everyone!! Of course, that means it's Flutterby Wednesday again!!

The challenge for this week is to use brads or eyelets on your creations along with your butterfly or fairy. Our featured team member is Harriet. This will be Ashley and Heather's last week for a while. Ashley has to go have her baby and Heather needs to handle things at home during harvest and also while her hubby is gone. I hope they'll be back soon!!
On my card for this week, I got to use my new Stampavie Lelo Designs stamp called Natural Boy. Isn't he the cutest!! My butterfly is right there above that big red flower!! I also love the snail! I colored him purple and blue and I think he's cute!! I used Prima glitterred paper with leaves, trees and little animals all over it!! It is so cute and I thought it went perfectly with this image. I colored my image with my copics. I made a very simple design so that my image would be the center of attention. I used Provo Craft little dragonfly brads in the corners of my card and a simple Inkadinkado sentiment. I hope you like it!! It makes me smile!!

This was a really great challenge. We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using eyelets or brads and a butterfly or fairy. Remember, it must include a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations. Be sure to visit Danni's blog to see any other details. Be sure to check my sidebar and visit the other Flutterby divas to see their wonderful creations.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I love reading your comments, they mean so much to me!! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have to show you!! Have a wonderful day!

Hello all!! Happy Memorial Day!! It's Monday and that means that we're making another Christmas card to add to our stack of completed cards for Christmas this year!! Woo hoo!! You can get started on your cards today, play along with us!! You'll love this sketch!

Our fabulous leader, Maria has created another super sketch challenge #18 for us to use. This is a great sketch!! My image stamp is by Great Impressions and my sentiment stamp is by Inkadinkado. I used Making Memories papers and Martha Stewart snow glitter on my card. I used a glitter gel pen on the bells around the reindeer's neck. The glitter brads I used are from the $1 bin at Target!! The ribbon is from my stash. I colored the image with my Copics and that's about it!! Just a simple card, but one more closer to being done with my cards for the year!!

Here's the weird dark shot that shows my glitter and glitter pen a little better.

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what our head diva, Maria and the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I truly appreciate you and your comments! Be sure to come by tomorrow to see what I've created for you! You can sign up as a friend and I'll let you know as soon as I'm done!! See you then!

Spend the weekend InStyle!!

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope your weekend is going well. If you have a 3 day weekend, even better!!

I told you I would share my daughter's award's day news with you. For those of you that don't know, my daughter is in the 3rd grade and we had awards day this week. I am proud of her whether she wins an award or not, but she actually brought home the Computer Award out of her class of 22 and she brought home an award for being on the Principal's Honor Roll for the ENTIRE year!!!! Yay, Brittany!! She also won an award on Field Day. She took home 3rd place in the egg carrying contest!! lol (the old egg on a spoon, remember) Out of 300 something students, that's pretty good!! So there you go.

Ok, onto business! I wanted to share a card I made using InStyle Stamps Anime image Mike and Jessie. Aren't they just the cutest ever? I know I say this every time but these images really are so versatile and fun to use. You could use this image for birthdays, get well, congrats, thinking of you, thanks, you get the picture! It's perfect for any occasion.

For my card I paper pieced Jessie's dress and boots with Die Cuts with a View Spring Stack paper. The rest of the image is colored with my copics. My sentiment stamp is by Stampendous. I used Bazzill cardstock and the glittery paper is from the DCWV Glitter Spring Stack. I highlighted with my white InkEssentials gel pen that I got from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. My flowers are Primas and the brads are Making Memories. The ribbon is Bo Bunny. I used this week's Stamps and Smiles sketch challenge for my card layout. Yay I got a challenge done this week!! They have the greatest sketches and the cutest stamps. You should check them out.

Don't forget, we have our InStyle Stamps blog hop this Friday. Woo hoo!! I'll have more information for you soon. I hope you enjoy my card. I'm glad you stopped by to visit and I hope you'll leave me a comment. I truly do love reading your comments, they mean so much to me! I'll be back on Monday with something else to show you, so be sure you come back to visit!! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!!

It's Flutterby Wednesday Again!!

I can't believe it's Flutterby Wednesday again!! Where does the time go??

Today, Hubby and I get to go to school for Brittany's Awards Day!! I'm so excited and proud. I know she is going to bring home at least one award!! I'll have to let you know how she did and share a pic or two with you. Ok, time to focus!!

Our challenge this week was to use at least 2 different designer papers and use a fairy or butterfly on our project. Our guest designer this week is the super talented Jodi Collins. You should go check out her work at http://www.stampingalatte.blogspot.com/. You'll find some really great stuff and we're glad to have her this week!! Our featured stamper this week is Stef.

For my card this week, I used Doodlebug patterned paper and Bazzill cardstock. I also used this adorable new Magnolia stamp from the Chasing Butterflies collection that I got from Summer at Roses on Paper. Thanks Summer!! I think this image is just the sweetest!!

I colored my image with my copics, painted on some Shimmerz and used a white Inkessentials gel pen that I got from my good friend, Susana over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Designs. I also cut my yellow and pink dotted (Bo Bunny) cardstock with my nesties that I also got from Susana. If you haven't been to her store, you have to go. She has the most amazing selection of all things paper crafting including copics and nesties. She also carries some of the cutest stamps out there!! I cut out my image and popped it up with pop dots. I also used pop dots on my yellow cardstock. I embossed the yellow piece with my Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked the edges with pink ink.

My sentiment is a Sugar Nellie stamp. I inked the edges of my sentiment, put a tiny little Prima flower in the center along with a tiny jewel. I put some yellow flowers on my card that I had in my stash. I inked the edges with pink ink and put a little bit of Stickles on the "pearl" in the center. I cut a small flourish with my Sizzix Sizzlet die and put it around the flowers. I used Stickles to add some bling to them and make them pop. IRL they are super glittery!

This was a really great challenge. We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using at least 2 different patterned papers and a butterfly or fairy.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have made to show you!! Have a wonderful day!

It's an InStyle Tuesday!!

Happy Tuesday!! The weather here is beautiful and I wanted to do a quick post to share a

cute card that I made using InStyle Stamps Anime image Daisy. Even though my picture is not the greatest (I couldn't get her hair to show up correctly), isn't she still the cutest ever? These images are so versatile and fun to use. You could use her for birthdays, get well, congrats, thinking of you, thanks, you get the picture! She's perfect for any occasion.

All of the supplies that I used are Bo Bunny, except the Dew Drops. I cut Daisy out with my Spellbinders Nesties that I got at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. She has an amazing selection of all the new stuff, so go take a look!! I colored Daisy with my copics and used my Inkssentials white gel pen, also from Susana's, for some subtle highlights.

A simple card design that lets my image take center stage. You gotta love that!! For the inside, I simply cut some of my DP and used it in the corners to make a frame of sorts for my sentiment which is an Inkadinkado stamp. I hope you enjoy my card. I'm glad you stopped by to visit and I hope you'll leave me a comment. I love reading your comments, they mean so much! Come back again tomorrow and see what I have to show you!!

Christmas in May??

Hello all!! It's Monday and that means that we're making another Christmas card to add to our stack of completed cards for Christmas this year!! Yay!!

This week please help us welcome our newest diva. Her name is America and her blog is Cards Created by America. She makes amazing cards and we're glad to have her as part of our team! I think she'll be starting next week. America's blog address is: http://cardsbyamerica.blogspot.com/

Debbie of "the Paper Garden" will be hosting our challenges every 3rd week of the month and this week her challenge is a color combo challenge! The color combo is: Sage, Chocolate and Peach. If you like to use Stampin Up colors that are closest to the challenge colors, they are: Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Apricot Appeal or Cameo Coral. The color palette above are the actual Stampin Up colors but you may use any similar colors. They don't have to be Stampin Up colors. Again, the color combo for this challege is: Sage, Chocolate, Peach. I promise IRL my peach is really much more peach than orange but my camera would not cooperate so it looks orange!! Ugh!!

I used my Pink Cat Studio Lily stamp for this card. I colored my image with my Copics and used a Sakura glitter pen to add a little bling to Lily's coat. I love this image! My sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. I used Bazzill cardstock for my card. I used Black Memento ink to stamp my image and sentiment. I used a really cute sequin trim to add a little bling and dimension. I can't remember who made it though. (sorry).

This is the weird photo that shows where I colored with my Sakura glitter pen!

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what our head diva, Maria and the other challenge divas created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Be sure to come by tomorrow or later this afternoon to see what fabulous creation I have for you! Sign up as a follower and I'll let you know as soon as I'm done!! See you then!

Picture of the Week!!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I just had to share this picture of my daughter that I took on Thursday before I took her to school. I just love this photo. She is growing so fast and while I am so proud of her, a part of me is sad to see the "little" girl slip away and be replaced with a sassy mouthed, sweet, adorable "big" girl. She will turn 10 in September. Double digits!!! Oh my gosh, I feel old!!! lol

I know the sassy mouth is going to continue to get worse, but I just can't get used to hearing it from "my baby". You know what I mean?? I love her so much and she is so smart and witty (she gets that from me) lol!!! Anyway, she will be going to the fourth grade in the fall. I just can't believe it!! Anyway, I had to do a quick post and show you my sweet girl. Be sure to hug your sweetie's today (fur babies included!

Thanks for letting me share. Come back tomorrow and see what I have to show you. I may actually make something!! It's a miracle!! Come see!!

Are you Fluttering Today??

Hello Friends!! It's Flutterby Wednesday and our challenge this week was to use a sentiment or quote on our card along with a butterfly or fairy. Sounds simple enough, so why don't you play along with us this week??

Our featured team member this week is Nicola. Please stop by and welcome Lelia http://greengoddescreations.blogspot.com/ and Christine http://changeofheart56.blogspot.com/to our team!

For my card this week I decided not to use patterned paper!! I know, I can hardly believe it myself!! I used purple Bazzill Bling cardstock and punched butterflies out of glitter cardstock in lots of different colors. I used my Martha Stewart punch for that. Then I used a Whipper Snapper Designs, Inc. rubber stamp to stamp my quote/sentiment. I popped it up on pop dots and glued only the center of the butterflies and bent their wings up to look like they are sitting on my card. I like how this turned out (even without patterned paper)!!

We say good bye to Kristie this week. She is going to take a break so that she can take care of some personal business. But she will be back later on. We'd love to see you play along this week! If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations. Be sure to visit Danni's blog to see all the details. Be sure to check my sidebar and check out the other Flutterby divas to see their wonderful creations.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I love reading your comments, they mean so much to me!! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have for you to see!! Have a wonderful day!

We're zinging it up at Christmas Stampin All Year Long!

Happy Monday everyone!! How was Mother's Day?? I'll share mine with you in a later post. I also wanted to share that I lost 2 pounds last week!!! Yay!!

At Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, we create Christmas cards every Monday. By the time November rolls around, we'll have a whole bunch of Christmas cards ready to send out!! That spells out a lot of stress relief for me! Our fabulous leader, Maria usually creates super challenges for us to do but to spice things up a bit, I'm pleased to announce that Vicki of Summerthyme Studio will be hosting the challenges the 2nd week of each month!! Yay, her work is super fabulous!! This will be challenge #16.

The challenge this week is to add a little zing to your Christmas card. On the Christmas Stampin All Year Long blog Vicki asks the question: So how does one add a little Zing with Christmas Bling? Well you can use Glitter........... Red, Green, Gold, Silver.........anything that suits your fancy! Maybe add some Rhinestones or Blingy Brads, Some Pretty Embossing anything that resembles Tinsel or Christmas Lights! LOL!! So that is the challenge this week.

For my card, I used a super cute gift tag shaker to decorate my card. The shaker is filled with pretty, sparkly sequins...there's some bling!! I also used dew drops as well!! I used scraps for my card so I'm not sure who did this paper. I think it is Creative Imaginations but I'm not sure (sorry)!! The sentiment stamp is by Great Impressions (I think, I'm going to check on that and edit my post if it is by someone else.) I used a very simple style for my card but I like how it turned out. What do you think?

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Be sure to come by tomorrow to see what fabulous creation I have for you. See you then!

InStyle Stamps Sneak Peek!!

Happy Friday everyone!!

I have a short post today but a real cutie patootie!! This is a sneak peek of Ava Floating from InStyle Stamps. Is she just the cutest thing ever?? I love this image and the best thing about her is that she is being released as a a digi stamp!! That means she can be any size you need her to be for any project that you are working on!! Isn't that awesome!!

I colored Ava with my Copics and used Shimmerz on her wings, etc. I used my white gel pen to do some highlights and some pretty flowers for her to fly around in!! I think she is just the cutest! I actually cut out two dresses and colored them and used pop dots to pop up one layer so she would have a lot of dimension. My photos are not the greatest today, sorry. My paper is Cloud Nine and has a lot of sparkle, perfect for this litttle fairy. For some reason, my photos are not so great today!

If you haven't been to InStyle Stamps before, you should really go shop around. There are some really awesome images to choose from at really great prices. Very fast shipping as well! Of course digi's have that quick gratification that we all crave!!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I appreciate you so much!! I hope you like Ava, she is one of the super cute Anime images.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

It's Monday, and that means that it's time to share another Christmas card!! So in between my pain meds and very large ice pack on my back I've created a card. Yay me!!! I feel like I haven't created anything in forever. I miss it and all my friends in blogland!! LOL. So this week, I'm going to work really hard to get back on track and we'll see how it goes.

At Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, we create Christmas cards every Monday. By the time November rolls around, we'll have a whole bunch of Christmas cards ready to send out!! That spells out a lot of stress relief for me! Our fabulous leader, Maria has created another super challenge for us to do. This will be challenge #15. We were given this photo to use as our inspiration. I looked at this photo and I love the teal and metallics so I chose to use these elements for my card. i used the pretty teal blue and for my metallic I used silver ink and embossed it to make it really pretty.

I used some pretty Heidi Grace paper and Bazzill cardstock. My stamp is by Inkadinkado.

See you tomorrow!
