Brand New Nutshells-Must Have

Happy Monday Again!! This is my second post for today so please scroll down to see my first post!!

Unfortunately, we all know someone or have had our lives touched by someone with breast cancer. Maybe you're a survivor, in treatment or at high risk due to family genes. Whatever the connection is to this terrible disease, we must fight and never give up trying to find a cure. I want my daughter to grow up without the fear of breast cancer and I know you do too. I am so very excited and honored to present to you this wonderful digi stamp set from Nutshells. Please read on to find out how you can take part and score a majorly cute stamp set in the process!!

October in the US and the U.K is Breast Cancer Awareness month and to support this important event we have created a very special Digi stamp set. Pink Frosting will be available as a digital download from the beginning of October and is filled with lots of sweet images including a new Nutshell... Pecan! The full set will include two character images along with two cupcakes and a selection of cupcake toppers and sentiments. I will be previewing several projects that I have made using this adorable set. It is so fun to color and use. You will love it in your collection.

My card today uses the Making Memories Breast Cancer Awareness designer papers, flowers, brads from Eyelet Outlet, Memento ink and flocked floral lace by We R Memory Keepers. I cut my shapes with my nesties and I used my sewing machine to sew my patterned paper to the card. I also used some glitter on her cupcakes and a white gel pen to highlight the image after I colored it with my copics. I love these images!!! Wait til I show you the next one!!! You're going to love it!! My camera wants to distort the pink into more of a red but it is a pretty shade of fuschia not red.

We will be donating half of every download sold to a Breast Cancer Awareness charity, so please spread the word. Watch my blog for more peeks and details on the availability of these awesome stamps!! Thanks for coming by! Have a wonderful day!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Monday everyone!!

I hope your week is starting out well. I have to confess, life happened to me all week last week and I didn't get to create much of anything!! Sigh! So this week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long Challenge #36, it is Vicki's week to host the challenge. The challenge is to create a Christmas scene using at least two different stamp sets. This is a fabulous challenge, however I had to cheat and post a card that I have previously posted a while back. I didn't get time to make anything and I'm sorry Vicki and Maria, this was the best I could do =( I hope you like it anyway. It's a scene so I got that part right!!
For my card this week I used a digi image from Fred She Said Designs. They have some of the cutest images!! This little cutie is called Emma the Hugger! How sweet! I colored with my copics and used chalk to shade my sky. My picture is not the greatest, for some reason my camera didn't like the colors I used!! I used a glitter pen to add some bling and a little pom pom to accent her hat. I used heart eyelets in the top corners and tied some ribbon on for accent. I cut my circles with my nesties. My paper is by Provo Craft. That's about it. Pretty simple stuff!!

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Be sure to come by tomorrow to see what fabulous creation I have for you.

Softpencil Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone!!

I know you came over to check out Softpencil Thursday, but it appears for me that Softpencil Thursaday will actually be Softpencil Friday!! Wow what a week!! I haven't had any creative time and no time to come around and leave you the comments that you so richly deserve. I'll be around though I promise! Everyone has been so busy with cute projects!!

I will be back with something so special it will knock your socks off!! I can't wait to show you and tell you about this exciting post but you'll have to wait and see!! My daughter is turning 10 this weekend (yes, double digits-sniff, sniff) and she decided Monday that she wants to have a sleepover!! I've been preparing for a garage sale to rid our home of some of the clutter that collects and multiplies, so my house looks like a tornado came through!! I was sick Mon. and Tues so now I'm scrambling around trying to get ready for the party. UGH!! Fun but stressful! I have no time and way to much to do. I know you know that feeling!!

Anywhoo, I'll be back with the knock your socks off post later. So go put some socks on if you haven't already! Have a wonderful day and I'll see you here later!

Hugs, Cathy

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Monday everyone!!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We're about to float away here. It has rained everyday of last week and all weekend! We are soggy to say the least!! Can you believe we are on Challenge 35 at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long?? Wow, it's hard to believe that 35 weeks have gone by, time flies!

This week at the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog ,
Sankari is our lovely and talented hostess and is challenging us to make a Christmas card with non Christmas colors (meaning - no red, green or blue) something totally different. Ok this is certainly interesting but not too difficult for me!! I think I do that almost every week!! I seem to think that pink goes with every holiday except maybe Halloween! LOL. Stay tuned though, I'm still making Halloween projects and pink may turn up yet!! You never know!!

Anyway, for my card this week I was running a little low on mojo and time to color so this is what I came up with for our challenge. I used the new Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. OMG this may be one of my all time favorite BG releases! That's saying a lot because I seem to have a bit of a Basic Grey collecting problem!! I love them all but this one is special. (Hubby says I say that about every sheet of paper that comes out!!) Have you seen it? Very yummy!! I made a very simple, sweet card using my Elzybells stamp. I colored her with copics and used a glitter pen to make her sparkly. I used SC246 for my card.

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. Again, we'd love for you to play along. Just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave me a comment so I can return the favor! Don't forget to come by tomorrow to see what I have to show you.

Softpencil Thursday-Halloween Bag

Hi Everyone,

It's Thursday and that means it is Softpencil Thursday!!! Yay!! I love this image! She is just too cute. This is another new stamp by our talented and fearless designer, Elizabeth. Our design element this week was to make a treat bag. I love making treat bags and giftie things.

Sorry my post is a little late. I was up most of the night with Hubby and his yucky sinuses. I've had it all week and now he has it. I don't know if any of you have acid reflux, but when you have a sinus infection, the acid reflux rears it's ugly head and you feel like you're having a heart attack!! It is very painful. Ok enough whining, let's get to my project!

I used a Creative Imaginations treat bag and added my stamped images to make a really cute Halloween gift for someone special. The Little Witch and the Bats are by Softpencil Designs. Are those little bats not adorable?? The fence is a Hampton Arts stamp and the sentiment is a Studio G. The papers are by Bo Bunny and Paper Studio. I cut around the edges of the purple paper with my zig zag or pinking scissors. I colored my images with my copics and chalked the backgrounds with chalk. I popped the witch and bats up on pop dots.I folded the top down and tied pretty ribbon through it and my treat bag was born!! I made one of these recently and finished the top the exact same way but I just love it like that so I did it again! It's ready for some yummy candy, bath products, anything that you want to put in is fine. I hope you like my bag as much as I enjoyed making it for you.

I entered this project into the Belli Challenge #74 and the AiFactory Challenge. A twofer, yay!!

Don't forget that Softpencil images are digital images so you can resize them to any size that you need for your project. Please visit my other DT sisters to see their stunning designs. Their links are in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by today!! Be sure to leave a comment so I may return the favor! I love reading your comments and leaving them on your beautiful blogs. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have made for you. Have a wonderful day!!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday everyone!

I'm sorry I've been MIA for a few days, I haven't been feeling so great (stupid sinuses). Right now, 2:45 AM and I'm still up with Hubby and his stupid sinuses!!! We are a sad bunch!! Please be sure to come back by sometime later this morning or afternoon to see what I have to show you for Softpencil Thursday!! I just know you'll love it! Hopefully, I'll be back up to par in a day or so. But I have lots of goodies to show you so be sure to check back!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate you and the lovely comments you leave me.

Hugs :)

Christmas Stampin' All Day Long

Hi friends! Happy Monday to you!! I'm sorry I'm a little late with my card. Just not enough hours in the day!! Then my camera battery was dead!!! Wouldn't take one picture!! Oh, how we suffer for our art! LOL

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Can you believe we are on week 34 of our challenges? It's time to get started on those Christmas cards if you haven't already!! It'll be here before you know it!! Today, our lovely Maria has created a sketch for us to use for our challenge yay!! I love Maria's sketches!!

I used this adorable image by The Greeting Farm from the Hope and Grace collection called Snuggle. Isn't she cute?? She looks like she's waiting for Santa to bring her some goodies!! She is so sweet and adorable!!! I colored her with my copics and used this pretty Paper Studio paper. The sentiment was created on the computer. I let my patterned paper provide the circle element to my card above the sentiment. This is a great sketch. Very versatile. I just couldn't get a good picture of this card for some reason, but here it is.

I might be Spooktacular.

It's Fall at Softpencil Thursday!!!

I'm editing to say I'm sorry my post is a little late. I kinda messed up my time on the autopost!! Oops!!

Happy Thursday Everyone!!

Tuesday was my birthday and I don't know if many of you know it or not, I'm a huge Twilight saga fan and a major league Team Edward fan!!! I left my window open that night to see if Edward would come over and give me a birthday present!!! (squeeeee) He didn't come over, but that's ok. He's in Vancouver filming!! My hubby and daughter got me a Twilight Edward and Bella fleece throw so I get to snuggle with Edward anytime I want!!! I also got some other little goodies but it was a good day. Thanks for the well wishes from those of you that left them in my comments!! I appreciate you and your wonderful comments!!

Ok, focus. It's Thursday and that means it's Softpencil Thursday!! Yay!! These sweet digi images are so cute!! They tug at your heart, they really do!! Today we are using this adorable little image from Softpencil called Sleeping and Dreaming and I decided to make mine a fall version. I love fall with all the beautiful colors and textures of the season!!

Look at the little kitty!!! So sweet!!

I used the beautiful new Bo Bunny paper line for my card today. I don't think they can make a paper line that I don't love!! I used ribbon and a sentiment stamp from my stash. I cut the sentiment out with my nesties. I colored the image with my copics and sewed around all of the elements. I also popped everything up on pop dots. Such a sweet image for fall or anytime. By changing colors this image could be used for any season. You could use flowers on your tree for spring/summer. Very cute!! I hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it for you!!

Christmas Stampin' All Day Long

Happy Monday and Labor Day My Friends!!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and if you're still celebrating, I hope you're having a wonderful holiday as well. Today is Christmas Stampin' All Year Long day and wonderfully talented Debbie is our hostess with the mostest this week! The challenge for this week is to use paper piecing on our creations. This is a great technique and if you haven't tried it, you should give it a shot. If you need some inspiration for a sketch layout, Maria has drawn one up for you here.
For my card today, I used a CC Designs image from All that Scraps. I used K&Co. paper, Bo Bunny cardstock and Bazzill cardstock. I cut my image with nesties and used page pebbles and a glittery snowflake for embellies. I paper pieced her hat, coat and boots. I colored everything else with my copics. I used glitter pen on the hearts, her fluffballs on her scarf tie, the cuffs of her boots and sleeves and the ball on top of her hat. I hope you like her!

Kind of a short post today but tomorrow is my birthday and I have lots to get done. Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. Better get started on those cards!! We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave me a comment so I can return the favor! Don't forget to come by tomorrow to see what I have to show you.

A Moo-va-lous Softpencil Thursday!

Happy Thursday everyone!!

It's Thursday - so you know what that means. You guessed it. It's Softpencil Thursday. Woot hoot. This week I'm very excited to show you this adorable little cow stamp. How sweet is he?? This challenge this week was to make a 3D project. I love these challenges. I decided to make a gift/treat bag. I actually used a Creative Imaginations treat bag for my project. These bags are great for any type of gift or treat that you need to give. I didn't put a sentiment on so that I could use it for anything that pops up!! Because something always pops up!!

I colored my little sweet cow with my copics and used chalk to make the pretty sky. I just love this little image and being a digi image is great because I can size it according to the project that I need it for. I attached everything to my bag and punched holes in the top for my ribbon. That's it!!

I can't wait to see what my DT sisters have come up with. You can check out their blogs in my sidebar and see for yourself. You can purchase this stamp from Softpencil Etsy Store along with a lot of really cute images!! I know you'll love them as much as I do. Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you'll come back tomorrow and see what I have to show you!! Have a wonderful day and I'll be around to visit your blogs later. I know I'm a little behind but it's been a tough week!!
