Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Please be sure to scroll down for my other post for today!!

Hi friends! Happy Monday to you!!

It's time to get started on those Christmas cards if you haven't already!! It'll be here before you know it!! This week, Vicki of Summerthyme Studio will be hosting our challenge! Can you believe we're on week 32 and each week, we're closer to the holidays and closer to having those cards done! Vicki's challenge this week is to create a card using traditional Christmas Colors-Green, Red and a dash of silver or gold!!! We want to see your best creations. Sounds pretty simple, huh? We hope you'll play along this week! Please comment on today's post on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog with the link to your project, SCS/PCP or online gallery. We can't wait to see what you come up with! There is a sketch if you need it on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog but it is not part of the challenge. My camera was not liking all the red, so my pics are not very good today. I may try to re-take them if I get a chance, maybe outside.

For my card this week i used this adorable Penny Black image!! Isn't she cute!! I colored her with my copics, glitter pen, and I paper pieced the packages. I used fun flock on her sleeve cuffs to look like fur!! I used an Inkadinkado stamp for my sentiment and look at these cool clear plastic/acrylic snowflakes!! IRL they are very sparkly!! I used DCWV paper and Bazzill cardstock. To fulfill the silver or gold part of the challenge, I used silver pen to color in one of the shopping bags!! I used the wonderful Sketch Saturday sketch #66 for my card this week. I hope you like it!!

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. Again, we'd love for you to play along. Just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave me a comment so I can return the favor! Don't forget to come by tomorrow to see what I have to show you.

Your Next Stamp Design Team Call

Hi Everyone!!!!

I finally found some time to blog hop tonight and that the new company
Your Next Stamp has a DT Call that ends today. Their images are really cute and I wanted to be sure and get this post done.

They ask that you post two of your favorite cards on your blog. Post about them and their call. Link them and your post in their comment section on the
Your Next Stamp blog. This is your application for their DT! Here are my favorite two cards except I couldn't pick just two so I had to include these for their review. I love coloring and it is hard to pick my absolute favorites sometimes!! LOL! I really love them all with a few rare exceptions!!
So here it is. I hope I have done everything I need to do. Their stamps are really adorable and I would love to create with them!! Have a good night and I'll see you tomorrow!!

Blog Hoppin' Friday

Just in time for Back to School is our theme at the InStyle Stamps blog hop! I had a different project planned for today, but since we've been back to school 2 week's and a few days, my child is already home sick!! Yes, tonsilitis and this morning decided to add a little bit of vomiting to the mix just to keep Mom on her toes (even though we've been up most of the night)!!! LOL Poor thing, so I had to alter the plan a bit. But that's ok because I think it turned out fine.

This first cutie is one of the anime images from ISS, her name is Janice. I used her with the soon to be released schoolhouse. This little card will send them off to school on the right foot for sure!! I colored both images with my copics and cut them out to mount on the cardstock. I hope you like her.

My next cutie is Jacob. I made him a week or 2 ago and decided that since the other half of my project fell through, I would use him because he's perfect for our theme. I went over to Splitcoast Stampers and found this adorable little card. It's called a Stair Step fold or an Accordion fold, depending on the orientation of your project. This would be a Stair Step fold since it's landscape, but this fold can work either way - portrait or landscape.

Here are the blog hop details... We will be giving away a Grand Prize to one lucky Blog Hop participant and also have a prize for one lucky design team member. To enter, hop through the design team’s blogs (you can find them in my sidebar), and then go to the InStyle Stamps blog and vote for the designer who's project inspired you the most. (You're going to vote for me, right? LOL!) Then leave us a comment on that post in order to be entered into the drawing for the grand prize.

I also wanted to let you know that sadly, this will be my last blog hop with ISS. My DT term is over and I must move on. I have loved being on this team with all of these wonderful designers. I am grateful for the chance to create with this team and the experience has been invaluable to me. I love all my DT sistahs and hope to stay in touch!! Thanks for visiting my blog. Please come back later today or tomorrow to see what I have to show you.

Softpencil Thursday Gone to the Birds!

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I hope your week is going well! Today we get to use this adorable digital image from Softpencil , it's called Loving Birds. We were supposed to use shimmer, glitter or anything shiny. I used a glitter pen to add some bling to my birds!! I used K & Co. paper for my card. I printed my digi image birds and colored them with my copics. I cut them out with my nesties and tied ribbon around the whole piece and adhered it to my card. Very simple, but cute.

This is my out of focus shot that shows my glitter pen!

This is a cute image for any occasion and is easy to dress up or down. Please visit my other DT sisters to see their stunning designs. Their links are in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by today!! Be sure to leave a comment so I may return the favor! I love reading your comments and leaving them on your beautiful blogs. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have made for you. Have a wonderful day!!

Christmas Stampin' Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope your week is starting out great. This week our hostess Sankari has challenged us to make something other than a Christmas card. She wants us to create a card that is not your typical A2 card (A2 cards usually measure 4 1/4" x 5 1/2") Create anything but an A2 card! It can be a circle card, a square card, a heart card, a star card, a Christmas tree shaped card - any shape at all.
I created a gift card holder for my project this week. I used adorable Imaginisce Christmas paper and this adorable image from The Greeting Farm from the Hope and Grace set. Isn't she cute?? I put some Stickles in her hair and on her head band to give a little more festive look. I added some cute, sparkly snowflakes but they are not showing up in the picture very well. Trust me, IRL they are so cute and sparkly!! I used a rub-on sentiment on the inside and some tiny blue gems for accent.

I cut her out with my nesties and I just cut a very simple shape for the holder. I cut an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock in half making it 8 1/2 x 5.5. I used my Scor-Pal to score it at 2" and 6". folded up the 2" portion and used double sided adhesive to adhere the edges. Your gift card will fit perfectly in the little pouch. Fold the top portion over and you have a gift card holder. I decorated it and here it is!! I hope you like it.

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. Better get started on those cards!! We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave me a comment so I can return the favor! Don't forget to come by tomorrow to see what I have to show you.

Step up to Softpencil Thursday

Happy Thursday Everyone!
I hope your week is going well! Today we get to use this adorable digital image from Softpencil , it's called House Collection Set 2. I really loved this image set when I first saw it on Softpencil. I know I just made a stair step card but I thought this set would a very fun pop-up sort of card. These are the intructions according to Lynn. You can find the instructions and more samples at SCS. I kept the design pretty simple. I cut out and colored my images with my copics, added punched flowers to the eave of the house. I popped everything up on pop dots. I punched a cute little picket fence with my Martha Stewart punch. My papers are from Bo Bunny.

This is a great set for any occasion and is fun to use. Please visit my other DT members to see their stunning designs. Their links are in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by today!! Be sure to leave a comment so I may return the favor! I love reading your comments and leaving them on your beautiful blogs. Have a wonderful day!!

Stair Step Fold Card

This is my 2nd post for today. Please scroll down and look at my other post for today!!

Stair Step/Accordion Card

Hello Everyone,

Today it's my turn to host Method Monday over at InStyle Stamps!! Yay! We're going to use a Back to School theme for our project today. I went over to Splitcoast Stampers and found this adorable little card. I thought that you would have fun with this as well. Thanks Lynn for having this on the forum! These are the intructions according to Lynn. You can find the instructions and more samples at SCS.

It's called a Stair Step fold or an Accordion fold, depending on the orientation of your project. This would be a Stair Step fold since it's landscape, but this fold can work either way - portrait or landscape.

Cut your cardstock to the size of 10.5 X 5.0 - if you want to stamp on this, now would be the time to do it.

Score your cardstock at 1.25" - 2.5" - 4.25", 6" and at 8.25"

Now fold with hills and valleys (accordion style) making sure that the smallest (1.25" fold) is folded down, as this will be the front of your card) Look at my sample and you will see what I mean.

Now here's the fun part - decorate with anything - punches, cut-outs, stickers - whatever your theme is, just go with it. These cards may be done in landscape or portrait orientation so let your imagination run wild. Thanks for visiting my blog. Please come back tomorrow to see what I have to show you.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Wow, what a crazy week last week and a crazy weekend too!!!I can't believe it's already August! Have you started your Christmas Cards yet? NO! (gasp) LOL! Don't feel bad, most of us haven't. If I hadn't joined Maria's little group, I wouldn't have one card done! Don't despair, you can start today by playing in our sketch challenge!! Maria has given us another fabulous sketch to use this week.

For my card this week, I used K&Co. papers, and a sentiment that I created on the computer. I used this adorable Pink Gem Designs stamp called Ice Skating Mimi and she is just the cutest thing ever!! She was so much fun to color. I cut her out with my nesties and colored her with my copics. I used Stickles for my snowflakes and the fur on her coat, hat, and pants. Super sparkly IRL. I used Crystal Effects on the water under her skates and I just love how it turned out! There are some really cute stamps at Pink Gem Designs, if you haven't been there, you should check it out!! I finished off with some pretty ribbon and gems. Simple but cute!! I hope you like it as much as I do!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Monday Everyone!!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! We start school full time this morning so we are back to our early AM routine! (ugh)

This week Vicki is the host for our challenge. She wants us all to use the spotlight technique for our projects! Highlight part of your image by stamping it twice and layering it! Here's a great Tutorial to show you how!

For my card I used this adorable Hero Arts snowman image to try out my technique. I think he worked pretty well!! I used yummy K & Co. paper and an Inkadinkado stamp for the sentiment. I colored my image with copics and used Martha Stewart chunky glitter for my snow. I used the Sketch Saturday sketch #63 for my layout. I tried to keep it simple so that my image would really shine. I'm used to a lot of embellies, so I feel strange not adding a bunch of stuff to my card!!!

This was a fun challenge and I hope you like my card. Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. It's time to get started on those cards!! It's Softpencil Thursday!

Happy Thursday to you!!

It's time to share another cute image from Softpencil. This week, the image we are using is called Taking Care of Flowers from the Softpencil Etsy Shop. Our challenge this week is to use Buttons and Bows.

For my card today I used K & Co. paper and Bazzill cardstock. I also used the Sketch Saturday sketch #62 for my layout. I thought it would be fun to paper piece her little dress and the petals of the flower. I colored the rest of my image with my copics. I used glitter on her little wings and for her fairy dust. IRL her wings and fairy dust are so sparkly!! She is just too cute!! I used some adorable buttons on my card along with some ribbon tied in a sweet bow. I even tied twine through the buttons!. I hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Please check out the other Softpencil DT divas to see what they have created Shelley, Maureen, Wendy, Kerry, and Anne-Katrine and don't forget we have 2 guest designers, Dawne and Tracey for the month of August. Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Monday Everyone!! It's a Gorjuss Christmas!!
I hope you had a good weekend. Today's challenge over at Maria's Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog is Debbie's Sketch challenge. She gave us a sketch and also added embossed card stock to the top of the card. I would post a picture of the sketch but Blogger doesn't seem to want to post pictures at the moment. I can't get my pictures to upload into this post. UGHHHHH!!!

I made my card using Bazzill embossed cardstock for the red piece and the card base. I used DCWV patterned paper for the bottom. I used this adorable Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl and colored her with my copics. You can buy your Sugar Nellies and your Gorjuss Girls at Funky Kits. I cut her out with my nesties and popped her up on pop dots. I also gave her a little present to sit next to her!! I put a cute little pearl at her neck and a cute heart in her hair. She's ready for Santa to come!! I stamped my sentiment using a Sugar Nellie stamp and put stickles and pretty hearts on it as well. I used a white gel pen to put some dots on the scallops and stickles around my Gorjuss Girl too. I used some pretty glittered brads on either side and that's it. I'm not completely satisfied with it, but it turned out pretty cute, I think. I'm not sure if it's the card that's bothering me or the pictures.

(here's the out of focus shot to show my embossed cs.)

I hope you like my card. Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. It's time to get started on those cards!! We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to come by tomorrow to see what I have to show you.
