Today is Softpencil Thursday and Elizabeth gave us Simon...thinking of Christmas. This is a cute image, so check him out!! Unfortunately, sickness and hubby being home have prevented me from creating anything with this image this time around. I know...I love having Brittany and hubby around, but they don't allow for any creative time. Even late at night. When you're sick, "the late at night" doesn't work out very well. Last night I fell asleep sitting up in front of my computer trying to do my blog posts and upload pics to my galleries. What a pain in the neck...literally!! hee hee.

Happy Thursday to you!! Ok just to get this out of the way...are you ready for New Moon!!!! OMG I cannot wait. Even though I feel like you know what, my shot of antibiotics and all my meds should sustain me...I hope!! Tomorrow I may drop like a stone but at least I will have the movie under my belt (and probably some popcorn)!!

Ok onto my project for Softpencil Thursday. For this week's challenge, we are using this adorable image called Michu is giving gifts away' Today's challenge was to use some gold on our project. For my project I made an ornament or a gift tag. Whichever way you want to use it. Two for one, can't beat that!! I colored Michu with my copics and cut out my shapes with my nesties. I punched a hole in the top and tied some ribbon on the top. Simple but so sweet. I used gold gel pen to color the ribbon on the package and the runners of the sleigh. I think he turned out pretty sweet. Iused glitter on his hat for some extra bling!

Nutty Nutshells Wednesday 4!!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

For this week's Nutty Nutshell's challenge, we are going to make a Thank You/Thankful card using ANY line of stamps that we carry in our Nutcrafter's store!!! That makes it nice and easy for everyone to participate!! So go over to Nutcrafter's and see our selection of stamps from lots of different companies such as The Greeting Farm, Stampavie, Magnolia, Ladybug & Friends, High Hopes, Buddy Bear and Sarah Kay. You can also get our Nutshells, Harriet Hurst and our Digi Images Pink Frosting - our Breast Cancer Awareness set and our Christmas Angel digis. Which are too cute! With our huge range of images, you probably have something you can put some ink on!!

For my card I used one of the Christmas Angel digi stamps and colored her with my copics. I used glitter on the cloud and her wings (so sparkly IRL). I attached a pretty snowflake trim and dew drops for accent. I used a scalloped piece of silver cardstock with a piece of pretty glittered paper cut with my nesties. I mounted her on pop dots.

Softpencil Thursday on Friday!!

Hi everyone, how is your week going? Mine is going relatively ok. I just wonder sometimes, why we don't get instruction manuals when we have our children!! Do you ever wonder that? If God had asked me if I wanted one, I would've said sure, absolutely. While I spent a day and half trying to give birth to my child, what's a couple more pushes to get out a manual?? Of course this manual would need to cover the emotional outbursts of your child to the complicated medical workings os them as well!! LOL Sometimes it's just a little overwhelming, that's all.

We've been passing this sinus junk around between the three of us for a month or so. So this past Fri. Brittany got it again. Of course since I have asthma, I immediately got it again too. My husband is pretty lucky. He usually dodges the bullet, so to speak. I get up to take her to school and we're going through the drop off line and she says"mommy I don't feel so good". Yeah, as most mothers know, this usually means a most icky situation is coming. LOL So I pull all the way though the line and back home. I was up all night last night with my own issues and was looking forward to taking a good nap when I dropped her off. Of course that didn't happen, so I'm just now (at 12:00 am) getting on my computer to post this and hopefully get right back to bed. I know we're fortunate to have a silly, sassy, spunky, healthy daughter. But sometimes, I just want to ask that question to see if anyone else would've been willing to give that couple of extra pushes to get that much needed manual!! LOL Thanks for listening to me ramble.

Ok, this week's Softpencil challenge was to use this adorable pink digi paper, tag and butterfuly stamp on our creation. Well, if you read or follow my blog at all, using pink is certainly not a stretch for me!!

Digital Delights New Releases!!!

Good Morning Friends! The NEW releases from Digital Delights are here!!!I'm so excited!!! This is Pippen the Mouse. Isn't he the cutest!! Please visit Digital Delights to see all the fabulous examples by the rest of the Design Team! But first, here is my card

I colored my image with copics and used scraps from my stash to make my card. I used Liquid Applique on his hat to make the white parts look nice and fluffy. I added a little glitter to it for some sparkle. I'm not used to writing down my copics that I use on each card and unfortunately, I forgot to do so on this one.

It's also time for a new sketch challenge at Delightful Sketches. Sketch 11 is the sketch I used for my card. The prize for the winner this time is an awesome stamp set from our sponsor The Greeting Farm! The prize is the set Xmas Sweeties. I wish I could win!! This is a fabby prize!!

I used flowers in every element of my card. I colored my image with copics and chalked the sky in. The Bo Bunny paper, the little Making Memories flower brads. I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch the corners and a little chalk to make a nice blue sky for Michu. I finished it up with pretty blue ribbon! So sweet!! Elizabeth just keeps making these adorable images for us! Thanks Elizabeth!!

Ok here I am!!! My internet service went down this morning so I am a little late. But I'm here! I couldn't fix the stickles that I stuck my hand in so I had to make something new!! Wow, it's Wednesday again and time for our third Nutty Nutshell's Challenge!! We are so excited with the response that we had to our first two challenges!! I picked a tag shape for my card. I used Pecan Nut from the Pink Frosting Set. I masked her off and used a Magnolia log stamp for her to sit on. The squirrel and Grateful sign came from K & Co. The fabby paper is by Bo-Bunny. I finished it off with some brown gingham ribbon that I had in my stash. I love how this turned out!

Your Next Stamp Challenge 3

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Wow, it's November already!! At Your Next Stamp, Simonne is challenging all of us to make a Christmas card or creation ...WITHOUT the colors red and green!

There are lots of non-traditional Christmas papers out there, so I'm sure you won't have any trouble resisting the urge to get out your green and red pens! As always, we have 2 fabulous prizes for you to win:

1. The challenge hostess, Simonne will choose her favorite card, and that winner will get the YNS Challenge Winner blinkie to proudly display on their blog.

2. We will randomly-choose one challenge entry to receive a YNS stamp set.

You must use a YNS stamp on your card or creation. Karen has launched some great new limited edition Christmas digi stamps, which you can buy instantly from the YNS store by clicking here I used this adorable Fhiona stamp for my card. I kept the design very simple and let my image be the focal point. I used some glttery snowflake paper by The Paper Studio, from my stash. I cut my image out using my nesties and I colored her with my copics. I colored in some ice underneath her and used Gossy Accents to make it shiny. I cut out my sentiment and colored over the words with my copics. Simple but fun!

To enter, follow the challenge and use a YNS stamp somewhere on your creation, post it on your blog or in your online gallery, and post the direct link to it using the Mr Linky widget on the challenge post. (Please do not post a general link to your blog or gallery, as this makes it more difficult for us to find your card - thanks!). If Mr Linky is not working, please post your link in the comments section on the blog post, and we will add it for you when the widget is back up and working. If you are posting your card to your SCS gallery, please use the keyword ynsc3 and then post a direct link to it in Mr Linky. Entries for challenge 3 close at midnight (EST) on Tuesday November 17th. So get out those non-tradional Christmas papers and get busy! You might be our lucky winner!!
