Nutty Nutshells Challenge #25

Hi everyone,

I've missed you so much. You have no idea!! I can't believe that Fall is almost here!! Our challenge this time is to make something using Fall Colors. That's right, it's time to get out those oranges, greens, reds, yellows--anything that reminds you of Fall. You can create anything, as long as you use products that we sell over in the Nutcrafter's store.

You have until Oct. 6th to enter. We have some exciting things happening at Nutcrafter's!! We are going to have some major releases coming soon, so be sure that you watch for those. There are some Christmas images in our Harriet Hurst line that you will just have to have in your collection!! The Christmas shop just opened at the Nutcrafter's store, so be sure to go check it out!!

I used the adorable Harriet Hurst image Sitting Harriet from the Christmas Shop at Nutcrafter's. Isn't she adorable? I used papers and die cuts from We R Memory Keepers. I colored her with my Copics and the flowers are Hero Arts.

Remember you must use ANY stamp that we carry in our Nutcrafters store to qualify for the prize!!! That makes it nice and easy for everyone to participate!! So go over to Nutcrafters and see our selection of stamps. Be sure to check out one of our newest additions...Pink Pamper. You will love her and part of your purchase money goes to fight Breast Cancer!!

All you have to do is make your creation and leave a link in the comment section of the Nutshell's post with a direct link to your project, not your blog, your project prior to Oct.6th (this is a two week challenge). Hi Everyone

Hi Everyone!!

Just a quick note to let you know that I'm still alive!! I've been sidelined with a torn meniscus in my knee, discovering a blood clotting problem and then to top it all off...I had a car accident and totalled my car. Luckily, Brittany and I are ok. Real life has given me a swift kick in the you know what!! But I'm trying to get myself together so I can play again. I miss you all terribly and hope you are doing well. Please don't give up on me!! I'll be back soon I hope. We're trying to arrange my crafting area so that I can get my leg brace in and out without kicking everything over!!

Hugs to you all and I'll talk to you soon. Leave me some love, I could really use it!

Nutshell's Challenge #13

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are having some enjoyable Spring-like weather wherever you are. Real life continues to challenge me!! LOL I guess that's what it's supposed to do!! I pulled a tendon in my knee and I'm stuck in this knee brace for an undetermined amount of time. There is a possibility that there is a small tear in the tendon under the kneecap. This is so hard to navigate with!! Getting in and out of the car is a pain. I also can't sit at my computer or craft table except for very small amounts of time. I have to spend a lot of time in the recliner with my leg up. I'm a go, go, go person so this feels like prison!! LOL But things could be worse, so I'll wear it and get over it...eventually!

It's time for our Nutshell's Challenge #13. We have some super prizes to give away this challenge, so be sure to get your entries in!!
Challenge #13 is to make a shaped card (anything other than a square or rectangle). That's it!! How simple is that?

I used a Nutshell's digi image for my teacup card.
Remember you must use ANY line of stamps that we carry in our Nutcrafter's store to qualify for the prize!!! That makes it nice and easy for everyone to participate!! So go over to Nutcrafter's and see our selection of stamps from lots of different companies such as The Greeting Farm, Stampavie, Magnolia, Ladybug & Friends, High Hopes, Buddy Bear and Sarah Kay. You can also get our Nutshells, Harriet Hurst and our Digi Images. You're sure to have something you can use to win yourself a great prize.

All you have to do is make your creation and leave a link in the comment section of the Nutshell's post with a direct link to your project, not your blog, your project prior to April 21 (this is a two week challenge).

Free Digi and Design Team Call

Happy Tuesday everyone. I wanted to let you know about an exciting opportunity for you over at the Nutcrafter's and Nutshell's blog.

It is that time again and we are looking for some new crafter's to join our team.
We are hoping to snag ourselves a full time DT member and a couple of Guest DT members too, this time though we are shaking things up!
We have a free image for everyone to use on their submissions and a bonus set of complimentary images FREE for everyone who enters.

Our crazy Tea party images have been created especially for this challenge, as this week we are celebrating Colette's wedding with a fun & fantastic 'Mad Hatters Tea Party'.
So if you would like to try out for our DT (and we hope that you do) simply save that Hatter image, create a wonderful card/project with it and link it back to us in the comments below this post with your email address. Alternatively you can email us with your cards at enquiries@nutcrafters.com

Our DT call is open until next Sunday, 4th April, 12pm UK time, and the free images will be sent once the DT call has finished.

We look forward to seeing your creations, Katie and Colette.

DT requirements: Our main DT ask is that apart from enjoying our stamps and having fun using them, we require 1 card each week to be created, photographed and sent to us for use on our blog and challenge blog. We are happy for them to be combined with other DT work or challenge entries, but must contain at least one Nutcrafters stamp/image.

I used Luna Cupcake Fairy for my card. She is part of the new release Cutie Pie Collection. She is so sweet and cute. I love her! She looks good in green for St. Patty's Day don't you think? It's Preview Day at Clear Dollar Stamps!!

Well, we made it to Friday and apparently into the deep freeze!! Today is the second day for the previews of the February New Releases at Clear Dollar Stamps.
One of the featured sets today is called "
Praying Children" which is illustrated by Wendy Hall (Looby Lou Creations) and being released Feb 1st.

I used my set to make a scene. I cut the front of my card out with my Quickutz die and cut the patterned paper the same to make a pretty frame and adhered them together. I cut the circles out with my nesties. The sentiment comes with this adorable set. I stamped my images and colored them with my copics. I stamped the floor using a floor stamp that I got from Hanna Stamps a while ago. I cut out the window and bed and adhered them flat on the inside of my card (since the front is a window). I used pop dots to adhere my little girl and her bear into the scene. I also used pop dots to adhere my sentiment to the front of my card. I used chalks to make the room look yellow and warm (like she has her light turned on) and in the window to make it look like night time. I also used a glitter pen to put some tiny stars and to color the moon and star. I think I managed to use Bo Bunny paper again!

This set is called "Praying Children" and is a Clear Acrylic Stamp set that will be available from the 1st February at Clear Dollar Stamps.

The recipe is: use at least 3 layers, ribbon and glitter.

I love this stamp set and this Bo Bunny paper is just the cutest thing!! Those little animals tug at my heart! I have to say that Martha Stewart rocks the punches for sure!!! I used my nesties to cut out the circles and used the sentiment in the stamp set and inked the edges and put cute little heart brads. I colored my image with copics and highlighted with a gel pen. I used the Sunday Sketch and Stamp for my sketch layout. What a great sketch! I'll be using this one again!! They always have the best sketches!

For our Nutshell's Challenge, remember to use ANY line of stamps that we carry in our Nutcrafter's store!!! That makes it nice and easy for everyone to participate!! I'm Baaaack!! Nutshells Challenge #7

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

Wow I can't believe it's 2010 already. I'm sorry I've been MIA recently. I had a couple of deaths in my family during the Christmas holidays and I've just been...I don't know. I lost all mojo and didn't really feel like creating anything or blog hopping. I guess I just needed a break. I'm back now and I really appreciate all of my followers (I luv you guys!!) and all the lurkers too! I was a lurker before I started following my favorite blogs and I luv you guys too!! I did make the difficult decision to step down from the Digital Delights Design Team. I want to thank Wendy for the opportunity and thank all of the wonderfully talented ladies on the DT for being so sweet to work with.

Ok, onto business. It's Nutty Nutshell's Wednesday and for Challenge #7 we are doing a color challenge!! These are always fun and sometimes force us to step out of our comfort zone and use colors that we wouldn't normally use. The colors for this challenge are pink and brown. This is a great combination and one I use a lot.

For my card, I used the adorable Nutshell's stamp set called "Loved Up". This is the most adorable set!! It has The bench, a mailbox, letter, the girl, boy and 2 sentiments. This set should be released this Friday so be sure to check out the Nutcrafter's store. The Nutshell's stamps are so sweet and fit so many occasions. They are fun to color and you will love them! I used some really cute flowers and embellies in the centers. I chalked the sentiment and cut it up into pieces and used some pretty brown velvet ruffle ribbon. I colored my images with my copics. This yummy paper is Bo Bunny. My pictures are awful. My photo editing program updated and now it doesn't get the colors right. I'm still working on it though!! Ugh!!

Ok, the prize for this challenge is a Gift Voucher to the Nutcrafter's store!! Yay, I wish I could win this!! You might even be able to use it on this adorable set!!
Remember to use ANY line of stamps that we carry in our Nutcrafter's store!!! That makes it so easy to participate and you have two weeks to do it!! So go over to Nutcrafter's and see our selection of stamps from lots of different companies such as The Greeting Farm, Stampavie, Magnolia, Ladybug & Friends, High Hopes, Buddy Bear and Sarah Kay. You can also get our Nutshells, Harriet Hurst and our Digi Image Pink Frosting - our Breast Cancer Awareness set. You're sure to have something you can use to win yourself this great prize.

I'm entering my card into the Creative Inspirations challenge. My Quickutz die is my new item.

So pick an image and show us your creations. Leave us a comment on the Nutshells blog with a link to your creation not just a link to your blog. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I've missed you and look forward to visiting soon!
