I do hope you'll come play with us. You never know, you just might win!! The challenge will run from 10/15-10/29 so that gives you more time to enter!! I love that!

For my card I used Maggie and colored her with Copics in Halloween colors. I used K & Co Halloween papers and folded the corners up to expose the backside of the paper and secured it with brads. I cut my other shapes with my nesties and tied ribbon on (gotta have my ribbon). I used Studio G stamps to stamp in the corners of the card. I had so much fun making this card. The DT have made some fabulous creations for this sketch too!! Be sure to visit them and give them some love as well. Their links are on my sidebar.

I have some other business to tell you about as well!! Tuesday, October 20th there will be another fabby tutorial from Deanne, one of our super talented Tutorial Artists. Christmas Stampin' All Day Long

Hi friends! Happy Monday to you!! I'm sorry I'm a little late with my card. Just not enough hours in the day!! Then my camera battery was dead!!! Wouldn't take one picture!! Oh, how we suffer for our art! LOL

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Can you believe we are on week 34 of our challenges? It's time to get started on those Christmas cards if you haven't already!! It'll be here before you know it!! Today, our lovely Maria has created a sketch for us to use for our challenge yay!! I love Maria's sketches!!

I used this adorable image by The Greeting Farm from the Hope and Grace collection called Snuggle. Isn't she cute?? She looks like she's waiting for Santa to bring her some goodies!! She is so sweet and adorable!!! I colored her with my copics and used this pretty Paper Studio paper. The sentiment was created on the computer. I let my patterned paper provide the circle element to my card above the sentiment. This is a great sketch. Very versatile. I just couldn't get a good picture of this card for some reason, but here it is.

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. Again, we'd love for you to play along. Just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave me a comment so I can return the favor! Don't forget to come by tomorrow to see what I have to show you. I might be Spooktacular.

It's a Rainy Day!

It's Softpencil Thursday again and the DT divas had a new digi stamp to play with, called "It's a rainy day". Isn't she cute!! We were also supposed to use paper piecing on our creations, so I paper pieced her umbrella, shirt, shoes and hair bow. The rest of her is colored with copics and I used diamond glaze on the puddle, her shoes and the raindrops so they would look wet. I chalked the background and added dew drops and a couple of flower brads for accent. I like the simple feel to this card.

My blurry, look at my diamond glaze photo. LOL

I used some gorgeous Bella Blvd. papers and the SC237 (Splitcoast Sketch Challenge) for my layout. I hope you like it and don't forget to visit the other DT divas to see what they have created. Their links are on my sidebar. This NEW image is available at the Softpencil shop now.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you leave me a comment so I know you were here and so I can return the favor! Have a wonderful day!

It's a Monday Sketch Challenge!

Hello all!! Happy Memorial Day!! It's Monday and that means that we're making another Christmas card to add to our stack of completed cards for Christmas this year!! Woo hoo!! You can get started on your cards today, play along with us!! You'll love this sketch!

Our fabulous leader, Maria has created another super sketch challenge #18 for us to use. This is a great sketch!! My image stamp is by Great Impressions and my sentiment stamp is by Inkadinkado. I used Making Memories papers and Martha Stewart snow glitter on my card. I used a glitter gel pen on the bells around the reindeer's neck. The glitter brads I used are from the $1 bin at Target!! The ribbon is from my stash. I colored the image with my Copics and that's about it!! Just a simple card, but one more closer to being done with my cards for the year!!

Here's the weird dark shot that shows my glitter and glitter pen a little better.

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what our head diva, Maria and the other challenge divas have created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL.

Flutterby Wednesday

Happy Wednesday to you!! I hope your week is going well. I'm glad you stopped by because it's Flutterby Wednesday!! It is also a no challenge FBW so we were free to create anyway we like!!

This week our guest designer is the super talented Lynn Put from The Queen's Scene . Welcome Lynn!! I also have exciting news to share!! This is the first week you can use fairies or butterflies for our challenges!! Yay!! Our featured team member this week is also a super talented lady, Cassie!!

I chose to use the SCS sketch from last week, SC222. I love this sketch because it is simple and let's your image take center stage. It was perfect for this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp, Maggie with Flowers. How cute is she? I added a couple of butterflies from Penny Black and Our Craft Lounge so she would qualify for the challenge.

I used Imaginesce paper and Bazzill cardstock. I cut the patterned paper and machine stitched it to the card front. I stamped Maggie onto white cardstock with Memento ink. I colored her with my copics and popped her off the card with pop dots. I used a white Inkssentials gel pen for highlights. I added Dew Drops in the four corners for a little something extra. You can find the white gel pen and some great Copic bundles at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design along with a huge selection of other stamping supplies.

We would love for you to play along with us. If you upload to PCP or SCS be sure to use FBW in your keyword box so we can find your lovely creation.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Be sure that you stop by the other Flutterby girls' blogs and look at their creations for the week. You can find their links on my sidebar.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!!
