It's Flutterby Wednesday Again!!!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

Is it really July already?? Wow, I can't believe it!! Well, I'm still behind, since I've had computer problems and blogger problems. I don't think I'll ever get caught up!! Anyhoo, our challenge this week at Flutterby Wednesday is actually a free week!! Yay!! The only things that you have to do is make your creation has a butterfly or a fairy image on. Just remember, it has to have a butterfly or fairy to qualify. This is really a great week to participate!! Our Guest Designer is the super talented Carolyn Bounds . Once you visit her blog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her creations are so wonderful and her blog is so full of inspiration! Welcome to our little Flutterby family Carolyn!

For my card this week, I have used this wonderful image from Nutcrafters. She is from the summer collection and her name is Paddling Mac. If you haven't been to the Nutcrafters store yet, you should really go have a look around. There are lots of goodies to choose from. There are several Nutshells stamps that you should look at. Soooo cute!!! Isn't she the most adorable little thing!! I used the Mojo Monday sketch 93 from this week. Yay, I got 2 challenges done so far this week!!!

I colored her with my copics and used a white gel pen for highlights. I used a glaze pen on her barrette and the Penny Black butterfly on her hand to give that shiny dimension that I love. I cut my Cosmo Cricket papers with my nesties. I popped the sentiment and my main image up on pop dots. I attached flowers to the corner with Hero Arts gems in the right corner and in the flower center. I used a Martha Stewart gift tag for my Hero Arts sentiment. I colored the edge with my copics to give it some texture. I attached Dew Drops butterflies on the the tag. They are so sweet!! I think she turned out pretty cute!! I hope you like it.

We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so we can find your beautiful creations. Be sure to visit Danni's blog to see any other details and for Mr. Linky. Be sure to check my sidebar and visit the other Flutterby divas to see their wonderful creations.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I love reading your comments, they mean so much to me and so do you!! Those of you who follow my blog, hold a very special place in my heart and I thank you so much! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have to show you!! Have a wonderful day!

It's a White Hot Christmas Monday!!

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Wow, it's hard to make a Christmas card when the temperature outside is 100 degrees with a heat index of 106!!!! OMGoodness, it is so hot and humid it's miserable. But if we want to have Christmas cards ready when the time is right, we'd better get to work!!
Today's challenge over at Maria's Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog is hosted by the wonderfully talented Sankari. Here is how she describes the challenge. "I was thinking how fun it would be to do a white holiday card! Of course its good to have some color and holiday cheer in your card - but it would be fun to do a card that is mostly white on white! So have fun with your White Christmas dreamin' cards! Can't wait to see everyone's creation!!"

Sometimes, it's nice to have a sketch for a card so if you would like to have a sketch to play around with, visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see one. But the challenge isn't the sketch, it's all about the white for this challenge!!

So there it is. Use as much white as possible on your card today. White on white Christmas cards can be so elegant and beautiful. I used K & Co. rub-ons and a Hero Arts stamp for the pretty tree on my card. I stamped it with a glue pad and prisma glitter stamped on vellum. I attached the vellum onto scalloped cardstock, adorned the corners with pearls and used the red rub-ons down the left side of the card. I attached a pretty red bow for accent. Not exactly, completely white on white, but I think it turned out pretty well. My card is truly white. I had to keep the picture in a little darker light so that you could see the pretty tree and glitter. I hope you like it!

Be sure to visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see what the other challenge divas created. I also have them listed on my sidebar. We'd love for you to play along, just leave a comment and a link to your creation on the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword CSAYL. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Be sure to come by tomorrow to see what fabulous creation I have for you. I might even be back later today!! See you later!

Click Nutcrafters to go to the store and see our wonderful selection of stamps and other yummies that you can't do without!!.

Now, about my card. This little guy is Guitar Wallie!! How cute is he?? I love this little guy! He's perfect for lots of occasions. I used him for a little boy birthday card. I colored him with my copics and highlighted him with a white gel pen. I used a metallic silver Sharpie on his guitar. I used silver metallic paper for that rocker look and cut some stars using a Sizzix die. I layered everything and then I went to the inside.I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it with my nesties. I sponged some red ink on the sentiment and added some small stars. I cropped my image with my nesties and colored his hair blue for a fun rockin' birthday card!! I think he turned out pretty cute. I just noticed that it also has a little 4th of July look to it as well!! I used DCWV paper and Bazzill cardstock.

We are also having a challenge on July 6th over at the Nutshells blog to kick off this wonderful release, so be sure to come back and see what I've created for you!! You have to come back before then because I'll be previewing more new images for you!!

It's an Outdoorsy Flutterby Wednesday!!

Well I'm editing this post!!! I had it scheduled for 12:03 AM and guess what?? It didn't post!!!!! UGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

Do you ever have those times when you just couldn't make a card if your life depended on it?? Well I had that problem yesterday and the day before and the day before. You can scroll down to the post under this one for more details into my lovely last several days. So instead of a card today, I'm sharing a couple of photo's that I took while hubby, Brittany and I were out fishing last year during the spring. This little butterfly landed on the boat and rode there for a long time. When she got tired of riding on the boat, she rode on my husband's hat all the way to the boat dock (which was a while)!! We couldn't believe how long it rode on his hat!!

Kimmie set up our challenge this week. For this week's challenge, we were to make an outdoorsy card. We'd love to see you play along this week! Remember, your card must include a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations. Be sure to check my sidebar and visit the other Flutterby divas to see their wonderful creations (maybe they had more mojo than I did).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I love reading your comments, they mean so much to me and so do you!! Those of you who follow my blog, hold a very special place in my heart and I thank you so much! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have to show you!! Have a wonderful day!

It's a Stormy Flutterby Wednesday!!!!!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

I hope today finds you well and in a storm-free zone!!! I'm telling you we have been seriously in the tornado alley since this past Friday. There was a tornado just a few miles from my hubby's work on Friday afternoon. On Friday evening, we were under tornado warning several times that night. Saturday morning we got up to more tornadic storms and on Monday we had more all within a close distance from our house. ACK!! I'm terrified of storms and tornados are just so scary to me.

Ok enough therapy, our challenge this week at Flutterby Wednesday is actually a free week!! Yay!! The only things that you have to do to make your card is a Flutterby Wednesday challenge card is to use a butterfly or a fairy image on your creation. Just remember, it has to have a butterfly or fairy to qualify. This is really a great week to participate!!

Our Featured Stamper this week is Christine. She is super talented so be sure that you stop by her blog and leave her some luv!! Our Guest Designer is the super talented Mary Giemza !!! YAY!! Once you visit her blog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her creations are so wonderful and her blog is so full of inspiration! Welcome to our little Flutterby family Mary!!

For my card this week I used some pretty K & Co. paper (love it!) and this adorable Magnolia sweetie. I stamped butterflies around her cute little head and stamped her (masked) with a Magnolia bench. I used a cute EK Success edge punch and scalloped scissors to create my two borders. I used my nesties to cut out Tilda. I used a big flower and brad by Bazzill alson with Bazzill cardstock to finish out my card. I used chalks to create the sky and grass in my little scene. I stamped the cute little black grass using an Our Craft Lounge stamp.

We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using a butterfly or fairy. Remember, it must include a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations.

Christmas Stampin' all Year Long Challenge #21

Hello all!! It's Monday and that means that we're making another Christmas card to add to our stack of completed cards for Christmas this year!! Yay!! Debbie is our hostess for Challenge #21. Her challenge for us is to find a creative way to use eyelets on your card. There's no limit to the amount of eyelets you can use on your card. Just go for it and let your imagination run wild! Sometimes, it's nice to have a sketch for a card so if you would like to have a sketch to play around with, visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see one. But the challenge isn't the sketch, it's all about the eyelets, baby!! LOL!
For my card this week I used a digi image from Fred She Said Designs. They have some of the cutest images!! This little cutie is called Emma the Hugger! How sweet! I colored with my copics and used chalk to shade my sky. My picture is not the greatest, for some reason my camera didn't like the colors I used!! I used a glitter pen to add some bling and a little pom pom to accent her hat. I used heart eyelets in the top corners and tied some ribbon on for accent. I cut my circles with my nesties. My paper is by Provo Craft. That's about it. Pretty simple stuff!!

We Love our Flutterby Wednesdays!!

I can't believe it's Flutterby Wednesday again!! Where does the time go??

Our challenge this week was to use a sketch, any sketch along with a fairy or butterfly on our project. Please be sure to identify the sketch that you use and give proper credit where it is due. Our featured stamper this week is Lelia. Be sure to stop by and give her some luv!! I believe the sketch I used for my card came from Magnolia-licious but I'm not sure. I previously used this card for Flutterby Wednesday but I re-posted it because I am using it for the Roses on Paper color challenge #13. The challenge is to use Pink, Yellow and Green on our cards. I picked it because it is one of my favorites and Summer is also having a GDT call for the new Belles n' Whistles stamps that she will be carrying soon. The Belles n' Whistles stamp line promises to be super cute and the Belles n' Whistles store will be opening in July. You know we love us some new stamps to play with!!! LOL

For my card this week, I used Doodlebug patterned paper and Bazzill and Bo Bunny cardstock. I also used this adorable new Magnolia stamp from the Chasing Butterflies collection that I got from Summer at Roses on Paper. Thanks Summer!! I think this image is just the sweetest!

I colored my image with my copics, painted on some Shimmerz and used a white Inkessentials gel pen for detail. I also cut my yellow and pink dotted (Bo Bunny) cardstock with my nesties. I cut out my image and popped it up with pop dots. I also used pop dots on my yellow cardstock. I embossed the yellow piece with my Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked the edges with pink ink.

My sentiment is a Sugar Nellie stamp. I inked the edges of my sentiment, put a tiny little Prima flower in the center along with a tiny jewel. I put some yellow flowers on my card that I had in my stash. I inked the edges with pink ink and put a little bit of Stickles on the "pearl" in the center. I cut a small flourish with my Sizzix Sizzlet die and put it around the flowers. I used Stickles to add some bling to them and make them pop. IRL they are super glittery!

This was a really great challenge. We'd love to see you play along this week! The challenge this week is to use a sketch, any sketch along with a fairy or butterfly on your project. Please be sure to identify the sketch that you use and give proper credit where it is due.

Remember, it must include a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations. Brand new Nutshells in the House!!

Hey Everyone!!

I wanted to tell you about the Nutshells blog. There are a new range of Nutshells stamps coming out and they are super cute!! Look at this little cutie!! How sweet and sassy it she? I had so much fun coloring her too. The sketch is provided by the super sweet and talented Nikki.

I colored her with my copics and used Imaginisce patterned paper and Bo Bunny cardstock for the card. I used dew drops, flowers, gems and buttons. I used a glitter gel pen on her hairclip and the little heart on her dress. So sweet!!

I hope you like my card today. You should hurry over and check out the Nutshells blog because they have some yummy blog candy, but it ends June 5th so hurry!! You know how we need our sweets!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I really appreciate you!!

Father's Day hits Thankful Thursday!

Happy Thursday to you!!

Today is Thursday so that means that it is Thankful Thursday over at the InStyle Stamps blog! This is my first time to host Thankful Thursday so be gentle!! In case you're new to Thankful Thursday, it is a sketch challenge that we host every week over at the InStyle Stamps blog. All you have to do is create a Thankful card following the sketch, post a comment on their blog and a link to your creation and that's it. Pretty easy stuff, huh!

This week I decided to borrow a sketch from my wonderfully talented friend Maria Bell. She is the sketch queen!! If you've never been to her blog, you should visit. You will find a sketch of every conceivable description and some wonderful inspiration!! If you have been to her blog then you know I'm right!! She's also a true sweetie!! Thank you, Maria!!
This is the sketch I chose for this week. You should really take a minute and enter this challenge. It's a great sketch and I would love for you to play!!

I made a Father's Day card or actually a Father-to-Be card because I consider that to be a thank you card! This adorable image is a Sneak Peek of an image that will be released on Friday called Lance and Lisa. Aren't they the cutest little expectant parents ever?? I think they're sweet. You will be able to find them at InStyle Stamps on Friday.

I colored my image with my copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. I cut it out with my nesties. I printed my sentiment out on the computer and cut it out. I chalked the edges of my image circle and the sentiment with blue chalk to keep it from being so white. I wanted color on the edges but didn't want the strong color that I would get if I inked the edges. Chalk is great for that! I put brads in my sentiment and popped it up on pop dots. I put a piece of brown ribbon across the top of the card. I used that wonderful Bo Bunny paper that I love so much!! My ribbon came from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!! Be sure to leave a comment so I know you were here!! I love reading your comments, they mean so much!! Have a great day!

It's a Flutterby Shape Today!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

I hope today finds you well and that your week is going smoothly. Our challenge this week at Flutterby Wednesday is actually a free week!! Yay!! The only things that you have to do to make your card a Flutterby Wednesday challenge card is to use a butterfly or a fairy image on your creation. Just remember, it has to have a butterfly or fairy to qualify. This is really a great week to participate!!

Our Featured Stamper this week is Chris. She is super talented so be sure that you stop by her blog and leave her some luv!! Our Guest Designer is the uber talented, super sweet Cindy Haffner!!! YAY!! Once you visit her blog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her creations are so wonderful and her blog is so full of inspiration! A true talent, that's for sure! Welcome to our little Flutterby family Cindy!!

Now onto my card. I made this card using a template that I found on one of the magazine websites but I was so smart, I cut it out and didn't put the magazine name on the template, so I'm not sure which one it came from. I'm pretty sure it was Papercrafts. I will see if I can find it again and I will post it as an edit later on. Sorry! I just thought it was cute!

I used the DCWV Spring Stack for my card. I used my nesties to cut a little label for my sentiment. I chalked the label so that it would not show so brightly. I added stickles on the butterfly front of the card and dew drops as well. I drew little antennae's on the inside of my card for her head. I think it turned out really cute. I used an Inkadinkado stamp for my sentiment. I used my Scor-Pal to score the fold. I hope you like it.

This was a really great challenge. We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using a butterfly or fairy. Remember, it must include a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Hello all!! It's Monday and that means that we're making another Christmas card to add to our stack of completed cards for Christmas this year!! Yay!!

Sankari is our hostess for Challenge #19. Her challenge for us is to play around with numbers. We had to create a card or creation where you use numbers as the main feature of the card, how fun! Sometimes, it's nice to have a sketch for a card so if you would like to have a sketch to play around with, visit the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog to see one. But the challenge isn't the sketch, but to use numbers!

I decided to create a 4x4 card that can be used as a gift tag or a card. I used this cute stamp but I cannot find the name on the label. It is worn off!! I guess I have used it a few times!! I used Provo Craft paper and Bazzill cardstock. The pretty ribbon came from my stash. That's it!! So simple but cute at the same time!

See you tomorrow!
