Thanks for visiting my blog today. I feel like such a bad blogger. I apologize for not being around much in the last several days. The holidays are always hard for us because we lost my dad during the holidays very unexpectedly a few years back and this year we lost my favorite uncle. He is the man responsible for setting up my mom and dad for their first date...and the rest is history. My Mom is taking it very hard. We were all very close. It's hard for me to help her long distance as she lives is Louisiana but I've been doing my best. I hope to be back to full blogger strength very soon. There is just a lot of "stuff" going on and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and exhausted. But I'll be back soon to share some of the items I made for Christmas gifts. Have a great day.

Well, I think winter has arrived!! I know some of you are suffering with snow an severe cold. It's cold here too!! Today, Brittany is in the spelling bee at school. I'm so thrilled that she beat out 23 other students to get into the school spelling bee!! I feel terrible that she is so nervous! I wish I could take away the worries and fear that she feels, but I know I can't. So my heart and prayers are with her as she tackles those words!!

So how are your holiday preparations going?? I feel stressed, frazzled and utterly useless...not to mention a total lack of mojo!! Hopefully this weekend, I'll be able to catch up on some of my blog hopping and other things regarding updating things for my blog!!

Digital Delights New Releases!!!

Good Morning Friends! The NEW releases from Digital Delights are here!!!I'm so excited!!! This is Pippen the Mouse. Isn't he the cutest!! Please visit Digital Delights to see all the fabulous examples by the rest of the Design Team! But first, here is my card

I colored my image with copics and used scraps from my stash to make my card. I used Liquid Applique on his hat to make the white parts look nice and fluffy. I added a little glitter to it for some sparkle. I'm not used to writing down my copics that I use on each card and unfortunately, I forgot to do so on this one.

It's also time for a new sketch challenge at Delightful Sketches. Sketch 11 is the sketch I used for my card. The prize for the winner this time is an awesome stamp set from our sponsor The Greeting Farm! The prize is the set Xmas Sweeties. I wish I could win!! This is a fabby prize!!

And for one last piece of business, I hope you've managed to get your challenge entry in for our Digi Day over at SNR Card Universe. IT'S FREEBIE FRIDAY ON SUNDAY!!

Hello Friends!

I know it's not Friday, but you can still grab this adorable FREE Image from DIGITAL DELIGHTS to have for your very own! This is Billy with Bat Balloons. Isn't he the cutest! He was quick and fun to color so if you need Halloween cards in a hurry this may just be the image for you. For my card, I was able to enter lots of challenges (yay) which I have listed below. I used the Friday Sketchers #74 for my card. It's a fun sketch and I thought it would work wonderfully with my image and it did!




I simply followed the sketch and used K & Co papers and a Quickutz die for the letters "boo". I used my cuttlebug for some embossed texture and distressed it with black ink. I used cute little spider 3-D stickers because they were cute!! I also machine stitched around all of the elements with my sewing machine.These are the challenges I was able to enter with my card.

It's a Delightful Sketches Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone!!

Wow what a busy week! Are you ready for another great sketch challenge from Delightful Sketches? If so, we have a new one up just for you!! This challenge is sponsored by The Ribbon Retreat. For my card I used Maggie and colored her with Copics in Halloween colors. I used K & Co Halloween papers and folded the corners up to expose the backside of the paper and secured it with brads. I cut my other shapes with my nesties and tied ribbon on (gotta have my ribbon). I used Studio G stamps to stamp in the corners of the card. I had so much fun making this card. The DT have made some fabulous creations for this sketch too!! Be sure to visit them and give them some love as well. Their links are on my sidebar.

I have some other business to tell you about as well!! Tuesday, October 20th there will be another fabby tutorial from Deanne, one of our super talented Tutorial Artists.
