A Little Sugar for Flutterby Wednesday!!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday Everyone!!

I hope your week is going well. I'm so excited, it's my week to host the challenge and I just had to choose one of my favorite color combos as the challenge!! So this week, we are using pink and brown on our projects along with our fairies or butterflies!! This will be fun!! Dig in your stash and pull out that pink and brown and make something fabulous to show everyone!
My card this week was so much fun to make!! I used this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp (there is a butterfly, he's just small) and some Doodlebug paper. I colored my image in with my Copics and added a few highlights with my white gel pen. I used my Flower Soft on the flowers under the mailbox. I love that stuff!! It is so pretty and gives a nice 3D effect to your image. I cut her out with my nesties, popped her up on pop dots and added Bazzill flowers and Prima roses for a pretty look. I punched a lace border with my Martha Stewart punch and tied on some pink ribbon. See, plenty of pink and brown to go around!! I hope you like it.

Be sure to visit Danni's blog and link your project (not your blog) to Mr. Linky. We want to see what you make for the challenge. Be sure the check out my Flutterby Sistahs to see what they made this week. Their links are on my sidebar. Don't be shy, link that project and show us what you got!! I hope you'll come back tomorrow and see what I have to show you. I love reading your sweet comments. They mean so much! If you are following my blog I appreciate you so much and value you more than you know.

If you haven't been to her blog take a few minutes to browse through her beautiful creations. Welcome to the team Taylor! Also this week, we bid farewell to Kimmie and we wish her all the best!!

This week Michelle hosted our challenge and challenged us to use buttons and bows/ribbon. Well, I did both!! I made Brittany a Tinkerbell card and used buttons as my polka dots and pretty purple ribbon to tie my bow! She will love it!! I used Disney dimensional stickers, ribbon, and ribbon slide. Very simple, but perfect for a sweet 9 year old!! This is the slightly blurred photo that shows her pretty wings! Sparkly!

This was a really great challenge. We'd love to see you play along this week! The challenge is to use buttons and bows/ribbon. Remember, it must include a butterfly or fairy. It's Flutterby Wednesday Again!!!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

Is it really July already?? Wow, I can't believe it!! Well, I'm still behind, since I've had computer problems and blogger problems. I don't think I'll ever get caught up!! Anyhoo, our challenge this week at Flutterby Wednesday is actually a free week!! Yay!! The only things that you have to do is make your creation has a butterfly or a fairy image on. Just remember, it has to have a butterfly or fairy to qualify. This is really a great week to participate!! Our Guest Designer is the super talented Carolyn Bounds . Once you visit her blog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her creations are so wonderful and her blog is so full of inspiration! Welcome to our little Flutterby family Carolyn!

For my card this week, I have used this wonderful image from Nutcrafters. She is from the summer collection and her name is Paddling Mac. If you haven't been to the Nutcrafters store yet, you should really go have a look around. There are lots of goodies to choose from. There are several Nutshells stamps that you should look at. Soooo cute!!! Isn't she the most adorable little thing!! I used the Mojo Monday sketch 93 from this week. Yay, I got 2 challenges done so far this week!!!

I colored her with my copics and used a white gel pen for highlights. I used a glaze pen on her barrette and the Penny Black butterfly on her hand to give that shiny dimension that I love. I cut my Cosmo Cricket papers with my nesties. I popped the sentiment and my main image up on pop dots. I attached flowers to the corner with Hero Arts gems in the right corner and in the flower center. I used a Martha Stewart gift tag for my Hero Arts sentiment. I colored the edge with my copics to give it some texture. I attached Dew Drops butterflies on the the tag. They are so sweet!! I think she turned out pretty cute!! I hope you like it.

We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so we can find your beautiful creations. It's an Outdoorsy Flutterby Wednesday!!

Well I'm editing this post!!! I had it scheduled for 12:03 AM and guess what?? It didn't post!!!!! UGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

Do you ever have those times when you just couldn't make a card if your life depended on it?? Well I had that problem yesterday and the day before and the day before. You can scroll down to the post under this one for more details into my lovely last several days. So instead of a card today, I'm sharing a couple of photo's that I took while hubby, Brittany and I were out fishing last year during the spring. This little butterfly landed on the boat and rode there for a long time. When she got tired of riding on the boat, she rode on my husband's hat all the way to the boat dock (which was a while)!! We couldn't believe how long it rode on his hat!!

Kimmie set up our challenge this week. For this week's challenge, we were to make an outdoorsy card. We'd love to see you play along this week! Remember, your card must include a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations. Be sure to check my sidebar and visit the other Flutterby divas to see their wonderful creations (maybe they had more mojo than I did).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I love reading your comments, they mean so much to me and so do you!! Those of you who follow my blog, hold a very special place in my heart and I thank you so much! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have to show you!! Have a wonderful day!

It's a Stormy Flutterby Wednesday!!!!!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

I hope today finds you well and in a storm-free zone!!! I'm telling you we have been seriously in the tornado alley since this past Friday. There was a tornado just a few miles from my hubby's work on Friday afternoon. On Friday evening, we were under tornado warning several times that night. Saturday morning we got up to more tornadic storms and on Monday we had more all within a close distance from our house. ACK!! I'm terrified of storms and tornados are just so scary to me.

Ok enough therapy, our challenge this week at Flutterby Wednesday is actually a free week!! Yay!! The only things that you have to do to make your card is a Flutterby Wednesday challenge card is to use a butterfly or a fairy image on your creation. Just remember, it has to have a butterfly or fairy to qualify. This is really a great week to participate!!

Our Featured Stamper this week is Christine. She is super talented so be sure that you stop by her blog and leave her some luv!! Our Guest Designer is the super talented Mary Giemza !!! YAY!! Once you visit her blog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her creations are so wonderful and her blog is so full of inspiration! Welcome to our little Flutterby family Mary!!

For my card this week I used some pretty K & Co. paper (love it!) and this adorable Magnolia sweetie. I stamped butterflies around her cute little head and stamped her (masked) with a Magnolia bench. I used a cute EK Success edge punch and scalloped scissors to create my two borders. I used my nesties to cut out Tilda. I used a big flower and brad by Bazzill alson with Bazzill cardstock to finish out my card. I used chalks to create the sky and grass in my little scene. I stamped the cute little black grass using an Our Craft Lounge stamp.

We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using a butterfly or fairy. Remember, it must include a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations.

We Love our Flutterby Wednesdays!!

I can't believe it's Flutterby Wednesday again!! Where does the time go??

Our challenge this week was to use a sketch, any sketch along with a fairy or butterfly on our project. Please be sure to identify the sketch that you use and give proper credit where it is due. Our featured stamper this week is Lelia. Be sure to stop by and give her some luv!! I believe the sketch I used for my card came from Magnolia-licious but I'm not sure. I previously used this card for Flutterby Wednesday but I re-posted it because I am using it for the Roses on Paper color challenge #13. The challenge is to use Pink, Yellow and Green on our cards. I picked it because it is one of my favorites and Summer is also having a GDT call for the new Belles n' Whistles stamps that she will be carrying soon. The Belles n' Whistles stamp line promises to be super cute and the Belles n' Whistles store will be opening in July. You know we love us some new stamps to play with!!! LOL

For my card this week, I used Doodlebug patterned paper and Bazzill and Bo Bunny cardstock. I also used this adorable new Magnolia stamp from the Chasing Butterflies collection that I got from Summer at Roses on Paper. Thanks Summer!! I think this image is just the sweetest!

I colored my image with my copics, painted on some Shimmerz and used a white Inkessentials gel pen for detail. I also cut my yellow and pink dotted (Bo Bunny) cardstock with my nesties. I cut out my image and popped it up with pop dots. I also used pop dots on my yellow cardstock. I embossed the yellow piece with my Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked the edges with pink ink.

My sentiment is a Sugar Nellie stamp. I inked the edges of my sentiment, put a tiny little Prima flower in the center along with a tiny jewel. I put some yellow flowers on my card that I had in my stash. I inked the edges with pink ink and put a little bit of Stickles on the "pearl" in the center. I cut a small flourish with my Sizzix Sizzlet die and put it around the flowers. I used Stickles to add some bling to them and make them pop. IRL they are super glittery!

This was a really great challenge. We'd love to see you play along this week! The challenge this week is to use a sketch, any sketch along with a fairy or butterfly on your project. Please be sure to identify the sketch that you use and give proper credit where it is due.

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

YAY!! Once you visit her blog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her creations are so wonderful and her blog is so full of inspiration! A true talent, that's for sure! Welcome to our little Flutterby family Cindy!!

Now onto my card. I made this card using a template that I found on one of the magazine websites but I was so smart, I cut it out and didn't put the magazine name on the template, so I'm not sure which one it came from. I'm pretty sure it was Papercrafts. I will see if I can find it again and I will post it as an edit later on. Sorry! I just thought it was cute!

I used the DCWV Spring Stack for my card. I used my nesties to cut a little label for my sentiment. I chalked the label so that it would not show so brightly. I added stickles on the butterfly front of the card and dew drops as well. I drew little antennae's on the inside of my card for her head. I think it turned out really cute. I used an Inkadinkado stamp for my sentiment. I used my Scor-Pal to score the fold. I hope you like it.

Are You All A-flutter??

Happy Wednesday Everyone!! Of course, that means it's Flutterby Wednesday again!!

The challenge for this week is to use brads or eyelets on your creations along with your butterfly or fairy. Our featured team member is Harriet. This will be Ashley and Heather's last week for a while. Ashley has to go have her baby and Heather needs to handle things at home during harvest and also while her hubby is gone. I hope they'll be back soon!!
On my card for this week, I got to use my new Stampavie Lelo Designs stamp called Natural Boy. Isn't he the cutest!! My butterfly is right there above that big red flower!! I also love the snail! I colored him purple and blue and I think he's cute!! I used Prima glitterred paper with leaves, trees and little animals all over it!! It is so cute and I thought it went perfectly with this image. I colored my image with my copics. I made a very simple design so that my image would be the center of attention. I used Provo Craft little dragonfly brads in the corners of my card and a simple Inkadinkado sentiment. I hope you like it!! It makes me smile!!

This was a really great challenge. We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using eyelets or brads and a butterfly or fairy. Remember, it must include a butterfly or fairy. It's Flutterby Wednesday Again!!

I can't believe it's Flutterby Wednesday again!! Where does the time go??

Today, Hubby and I get to go to school for Brittany's Awards Day!! I'm so excited and proud. I know she is going to bring home at least one award!! I'll have to let you know how she did and share a pic or two with you. Ok, time to focus!!

Our challenge this week was to use at least 2 different designer papers and use a fairy or butterfly on our project. Our guest designer this week is the super talented Jodi Collins. You should go check out her work at http://www.stampingalatte.blogspot.com/. You'll find some really great stuff and we're glad to have her this week!! Our featured stamper this week is Stef.

For my card this week, I used Doodlebug patterned paper and Bazzill cardstock. I also used this adorable new Magnolia stamp from the Chasing Butterflies collection that I got from Summer at Roses on Paper. Thanks Summer!! I think this image is just the sweetest!!

I colored my image with my copics, painted on some Shimmerz and used a white Inkessentials gel pen that I got from my good friend, Susana over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Designs. I also cut my yellow and pink dotted (Bo Bunny) cardstock with my nesties that I also got from Susana. If you haven't been to her store, you have to go. She has the most amazing selection of all things paper crafting including copics and nesties. She also carries some of the cutest stamps out there!!

Are you Fluttering Today??

Hello Friends!! It's Flutterby Wednesday and our challenge this week was to use a sentiment or quote on our card along with a butterfly or fairy. Sounds simple enough, so why don't you play along with us this week??

Our featured team member this week is Nicola. Please stop by and welcome Lelia http://greengoddescreations.blogspot.com/ and Christine http://changeofheart56.blogspot.com/to our team!

For my card this week I decided not to use patterned paper!! I know, I can hardly believe it myself!! I used purple Bazzill Bling cardstock and punched butterflies out of glitter cardstock in lots of different colors. I used my Martha Stewart punch for that. Then I used a Whipper Snapper Designs, Inc. rubber stamp to stamp my quote/sentiment. I popped it up on pop dots and glued only the center of the butterflies and bent their wings up to look like they are sitting on my card. I like how this turned out (even without patterned paper)!!

We say good bye to Kristie this week. She is going to take a break so that she can take care of some personal business. But she will be back later on. We'd love to see you play along this week! If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so that we can find your beautiful creations. Be sure to visit Danni's blog to see all the details. Be sure to check my sidebar and check out the other Flutterby divas to see their wonderful creations.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I love reading your comments, they mean so much to me!! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have for you to see!! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

Hi everyone!!

It's Flutterby Wednesday again and our challenge this week was to use red, white and blue along with a fairy or butterfly. It was really hard for me to picture fairies or butterflies with red, white and blue, but I managed to pull it off!! Our featured stamper this week is Nancy. You should play along with us and be sure that if you upload to PCP or SCS that you use FBW in your keywords so we can see your beautiful creations.

You can go to Danni's blog for more in-depth details. For my card today I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 84. I used Enchanted Lily from Pink Cat Studios. I love this image!! She's so cute and cheerful!! I used Paper Loft paper and Bazzill cardstock. I cut my sentiment out with my nesties. I inked the edge with red ink for definition and tied ribbon through the top. I popped it up with pop dots for dimension.

I stamped Lily with Memento ink and colored her with my copics. I used a white gel pen to add highlights. I painted her wings with Shimmerz. You can find Memento ink, copics, Shimmerz and white gel pen at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. She has a fabulous selection of stamping accessories and her rubber stamps are adorable. You should visit her and see what you can find. There's something for everyone.

Sorry about the short post but my pain meds are wearing off and I need to go sit comforably. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I really appreciate you. Be sure to leave me a comment so I know you were here!! Hugs to you all and have a great day!

Flutterby Wednesday

Happy Wednesday to you!! I hope your week is going well. I'm glad you stopped by because it's Flutterby Wednesday!! It is also a no challenge FBW so we were free to create anyway we like!!

This week our guest designer is the super talented Lynn Put from The Queen's Scene . Welcome Lynn!! I also have exciting news to share!! This is the first week you can use fairies or butterflies for our challenges!! Yay!! Our featured team member this week is also a super talented lady, Cassie!!

I chose to use the SCS sketch from last week, SC222. I love this sketch because it is simple and let's your image take center stage. It was perfect for this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp, Maggie with Flowers. How cute is she? I added a couple of butterflies from Penny Black and Our Craft Lounge so she would qualify for the challenge.

I used Imaginesce paper and Bazzill cardstock. I cut the patterned paper and machine stitched it to the card front. I stamped Maggie onto white cardstock with Memento ink. I colored her with my copics and popped her off the card with pop dots. I used a white Inkssentials gel pen for highlights. I added Dew Drops in the four corners for a little something extra. You can find the white gel pen and some great Copic bundles at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design along with a huge selection of other stamping supplies.

We would love for you to play along with us. If you upload to PCP or SCS be sure to use FBW in your keyword box so we can find your lovely creation.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Be sure that you stop by the other Flutterby girls' blogs and look at their creations for the week. You can find their links on my sidebar.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!!

April Fool's Hits Flutterby Wednesday!!!

Happy Wednesday and April Fool's Day to you!!

I hope your Wednesday is going well so far. Today is April Fool's Day but it is also Flutterby Wednesday!! Today's challenge was to use no designer paper, patterned paper whatever you want to call it!!! ack!!! I have to tell you that when I read this challenge, I was horrified. I am a patterned paper freak!!! I have quite the collection and not being able to use it was just....un-American!!!

But after thinking (quite a bit) about it, I think I found a solution that worked pretty well for me. I didn't use any DP on my paper but I used the cutout cardstock from KI Memories and my cardstock is Bazzill. I think it turned out pretty cute!!

Ann is our featured stamper this week and over on Danni's blog you can get all the information you need about Flutterby Wednesday. We also need to welcome the very talented Nancy to our team this week. I also have exciting news for next week!! Starting next week, you can use butterflies or fairies on your FBW cards!!! Yay!! If you upload to PCP or SCS be sure to use FBW in your keyword box so we can find your lovely creation. You should play this week and try your hand at creating without DP. It's not as hard as it sounds, I promise! Just be sure you have a butterfly on your card and you're good to go!

I used my new Victoria Case stamp called Beema. Is this just the sweetest bunny ever with the little butterflies on her nose and fluttering around. I thought she was adorable and had to have her in my collection. I love her!!

I stamped her on white cardstock and colored her with my Copics. I stamped the Hello sentiment from Inkadinkado and mounted it on cardstock with two pretty hydrangeas. I used foam dots under the image and the sentiment to pop them up off the card.

After doing this challenge, it was actually kind of fun to step outside my comfort zone and create without DP. Thank you so much for coming by today and looking at my blog. I appreciate you!! Be sure to leave a comment so I know you were here. Also be sure to visit the other Flutterby team members (in my sidebar) and give them some love for their beautiful creations, as well! Have a wonderful rest of your day!

It's Still Flutterby Wednesday!!

Hi Everyone,

According to my clock it's still Flutterby Wednesday!! This is my second post for today so be sure to scroll down to see both. I hope the rest of my week gets on schedule! I hate when going to the dentist gives you a 2 day migraine. Ugh.

Anyway, I'm trying to get caught up so this week at Flutterby Wednesday we had a sketch challenge courtesy of the lovely and talented Maria Bell. I love Maria, she is so very talented and is one of the sweetest people ever. For super inspiration, visit her blog here.

To celebrate Danni's 50th Flutterby Wednesday post, we have a special guest designer, Catherine St. Clair! And our featured team member this week is Heather! I also have to tell you that this is Ami and Kimmie' s last week. I know, we are sad too, but we can only take on so much, before something has to give. So we wish them well and hope that they will visit us really soon.

Danni is offering blog candy to celebrate her 50th week doing Flutterby Wednesday. So be sure to visit her blog to get all the details. Here's a sneak peek though!!

Here is my card for this week. This is the cutest Penny Black stamp ever!!! I love it and will be using it again soon!! The image is stamped on white cardstock and colored with my copics. To add a little color, I created a scene for our sassy little kitty! I stamped grass and flowers. I colored the flowers and leaves with my copics and chalked the grass and sky around her. She looks like she's lounging in the backyard!! I could hardly keep from laughing while I colored her and her little scene. It really made me smile. I used Bazzill bling, regular Bazzill and Bo Bunny patterned paper. I generated the sentiment on my computer and cut it out with my Nesties. That's about it. I hope this card makes you smile. I want to thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you leave a comment so I know you were here. Hugs to you all!!

Butterflies and Buttons

Hi all!! It's Flutterby Wednesday and I have another cute card for you. Have you played along yet?? What are you waiting for? Make a card that has a butterfly on it and if you upload it to PCP or SCS use the keyword FBW. That makes it easier for us to find your wonderful creation. This week we used butterflies and buttons on our cards.

I'm pretty sure Danni has some blog candy coming soon, so you might want to check out her blog to get all the details. Be sure that you check out my flutterby sisters to see what beautiful work they have done this week. Their links are on my sidebar.

I've had this stamp for awhile but haven't inked it up. Poor little flutterby!! Well it's been inked now and here's what it looks like.

I love how it looks with this pretty Bo-Bunny paper. I LOVE this paper, so yummy!! I stamped my butterfly on white cardstock with Memento and colored it with my Copics. I also used my glitter pen to give it a little bling. the stamps on the inside of my card are Hero Arts. I also colored part of my flourishes in with my Copics and used my glitter pen. I mounted my stamped image on pink and green cardstock and put cute little tiny buttons in the corners. I tied ribbon around and tied in a knot. Simple but sweet.

I hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it. I appreciate you visiting my blog. Please leave me a comment so I'll know you came by!! I'll meet you back here tomorrow for something else cute!! Bye for now!

Tilda Visits Flutterby Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

It's Flutterby Wednesday and our challenge for this week was to create a card with flowers and butterflies on it. This week I'm so excited that I am the Featured Stamper for this week!! Yay (thanks Danni)! Also this week, we have a wonderful Guest Designer. Drum roll please, our guest designer this week is the lovely and super talented Maria Bell!!! Yay, Maria is so talented and if you haven't been to her blog then you should get some munchies and get comfy!! It's such a warm, cozy place of inspiration.

For this week's card I had to pull out the Basic Grey Porcelain pad (LOVE it) and ink up my brand new Tilda with Bunny (LOVE it) that I just got from Summer at Roses on Paper (thanks Summer). I think this Tilda is just adorable with her little bunny!!

Ok, about my card. I stamped Tilda on white cardstock with Black Memento ink. I colored her with copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. I used Basic Grey Porcelain paper and Bazzill cardstock. This week I thought it would be fun to use some little silver, metal butterflies on my card. I used Prima hydrangeas with brads and spacers. I also used some green lace across my card front. That's really all there is to it. Pretty simple but I like how it turned out!!

I edited my post because I realized that I forgot to put the leaves on my flowers!! I thought I would show both photos since I've already sent Danni my picture for her blog. Sorry about that, I can't seem to remember anything lately!! I used a Martha Stewart punch for my leaves.

You can play along with us simply by making a card with butterflies and flowers on it. Remember, if you upload to PCP or SCS use the keyword: FBW so we can admire your work. Be sure that you visit the other Flutterby Wednesday designer's blogs and check out their beautiful creations. You can find the links on my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my blog. Please leave me a comment and let me know you were here. I love reading your comments!!
