Nutty Nutshells Wednesdays!!!

Happy Wedneaday Everyone!!

I have some exciting news from the Nutshells Blog! We are starting our very own challenges!! They are called Nutty Nutshells Wednesday's and will be held twice a month. We are so excited to bring our challenges to you and we hope that you will play along with us. I will be overseeing the challenge blog and will have a challenge blinkie/badge for you very soon. To kick off our challenges, we are supplying you with a free digi image to use for your challenge entry. How awesome is that? She is the adorable Pecan Nut Halloween Witch. She is the cutest thing ever don't you think?? Of course the theme for the challenge is Halloween.

You can right click on her and save her to your computer and use her for your challenge entry.

For my card, I colored Pecan Nut Witch with my copics, used glitter pen on her hair, hat and shoes. I used a white gel pen for accent and ribbon and Heidi Grace paper. I cut out my circle with my nesties.

To kick off our challenges, Katie and Colette have offered a wonderful prize package for a lucky winner. Check it out:

Selection of Flowers, Prima Crystals and Pearls, Assorted Charms and the winners choice of any 4 Nutshells character stamps.

You may be asking, so how can I win this fabby prize? All you have to do is make a Halloween card or project using the lovely Pecan Nut Witch and leave a comment on Nutshells Challenge Blog with a link to your actual project, not your blog, your actual project. This makes it easier for us to find your awesome creations. If you post to an online gallery please use the keyword: NNW1. Before the next challenge on Oct. 20 I will draw a winner and announce it on the challenge blog at the time of the challenge.

You have two weeks to complete your card and leave your comment, good luck!! Be sure to visit the DT blogs and leave them some love! Their links are on my sidebar. We can't wait to see your creations, so spread the word and come play!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It means so much when you leave me lovely comments and visit. I'll be catching up on my hopping in the next few days. Have a wonderful day!

Brand New Nutshells-Must Have

Happy Monday Again!! This is my second post for today so please scroll down to see my first post!!

Unfortunately, we all know someone or have had our lives touched by someone with breast cancer. Maybe you're a survivor, in treatment or at high risk due to family genes. Whatever the connection is to this terrible disease, we must fight and never give up trying to find a cure. I want my daughter to grow up without the fear of breast cancer and I know you do too. I am so very excited and honored to present to you this wonderful digi stamp set from Nutshells. Please read on to find out how you can take part and score a majorly cute stamp set in the process!!

October in the US and the U.K is Breast Cancer Awareness month and to support this important event we have created a very special Digi stamp set. Pink Frosting will be available as a digital download from the beginning of October and is filled with lots of sweet images including a new Nutshell... Pecan! The full set will include two character images along with two cupcakes and a selection of cupcake toppers and sentiments. I will be previewing several projects that I have made using this adorable set. It is so fun to color and use. You will love it in your collection.

My card today uses the Making Memories Breast Cancer Awareness designer papers, flowers, brads from Eyelet Outlet, Memento ink and flocked floral lace by We R Memory Keepers. I cut my shapes with my nesties and I used my sewing machine to sew my patterned paper to the card. I also used some glitter on her cupcakes and a white gel pen to highlight the image after I colored it with my copics. I love these images!!! Wait til I show you the next one!!! You're going to love it!! My camera wants to distort the pink into more of a red but it is a pretty shade of fuschia not red.

We will be donating half of every download sold to a Breast Cancer Awareness charity, so please spread the word. Watch my blog for more peeks and details on the availability of these awesome stamps!! Thanks for coming by! Have a wonderful day!

I colored her with my Copics and paper pieced her dress and hairbow. I love paper piecing, it gives such a cute dimensional look. I used my DCWV School stack for the sweet papers. I used a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment and a grass stamp by Our Craft Lounge. I also used the Pollycraft Sketch Challenge #20, what a great sketch to work with! I'm so excited!!! It's release day for our Nutshells Boys and to celebrate we are having a challenge!!!

These stamps are sooo cute and fun to color. On my card I have used a Stamps and Smiles sketch 21. I just reduced the size of the card. I used copics to color Al, accented with a white gel pen and I cut him out with my nesties. I ran my red strip through the cuttlebug with my swiss dots folder. My DP is by Bo Bunny. I stamped my sentiment with a Stampendous stamp. I used buttons and dew drops to accent the sentiment strip. I popped Al up on pop dots to add dimension.

It's Flutterby Wednesday Again!!!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!!

Is it really July already?? Wow, I can't believe it!! Well, I'm still behind, since I've had computer problems and blogger problems. I don't think I'll ever get caught up!! Anyhoo, our challenge this week at Flutterby Wednesday is actually a free week!! Yay!! The only things that you have to do is make your creation has a butterfly or a fairy image on. Just remember, it has to have a butterfly or fairy to qualify. This is really a great week to participate!! Our Guest Designer is the super talented Carolyn Bounds . Once you visit her blog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Her creations are so wonderful and her blog is so full of inspiration! Welcome to our little Flutterby family Carolyn!

For my card this week, I have used this wonderful image from Nutcrafters. She is from the summer collection and her name is Paddling Mac. If you haven't been to the Nutcrafters store yet, you should really go have a look around. There are lots of goodies to choose from. There are several Nutshells stamps that you should look at. Soooo cute!!! Isn't she the most adorable little thing!! I used the Mojo Monday sketch 93 from this week. Yay, I got 2 challenges done so far this week!!!

I colored her with my copics and used a white gel pen for highlights. I used a glaze pen on her barrette and the Penny Black butterfly on her hand to give that shiny dimension that I love. I cut my Cosmo Cricket papers with my nesties. I popped the sentiment and my main image up on pop dots. I attached flowers to the corner with Hero Arts gems in the right corner and in the flower center. I used a Martha Stewart gift tag for my Hero Arts sentiment. I colored the edge with my copics to give it some texture. I attached Dew Drops butterflies on the the tag. They are so sweet!! I think she turned out pretty cute!! I hope you like it.

We'd love to see you play along this week! Just make your project using a butterfly or fairy. If you post to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword FBW so we can find your beautiful creations. Be sure to visit Danni's blog to see any other details and for Mr. Linky. Be sure to check my sidebar and visit the other Flutterby divas to see their wonderful creations.

Now, about my card. This little guy is Guitar Wallie!! How cute is he?? I love this little guy! He's perfect for lots of occasions. I used him for a little boy birthday card. I colored him with my copics and highlighted him with a white gel pen. I used a metallic silver Sharpie on his guitar. I used silver metallic paper for that rocker look and cut some stars using a Sizzix die. I layered everything and then I went to the inside.I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it with my nesties. I sponged some red ink on the sentiment and added some small stars. I cropped my image with my nesties and colored his hair blue for a fun rockin' birthday card!! I think he turned out pretty cute. I just noticed that it also has a little 4th of July look to it as well!! I used DCWV paper and Bazzill cardstock.
